Today, I came back to my old high school – Soc Son High School. It brought back so many memories. Right across from the school gate, I saw Aloha Cafe, the same place I visited 5 years ago. I used to love it, and I even wrote a review back then. This time, I decided to stop by again and see what has changed.

Five years ago, Aloha was one of the most beautiful cafes in the area. It looked modern and stood out from the rest. Now, many new cafes have opened with stylish decorations, so Aloha feels more simple. But it still has some strong points: it’s clean, spacious, and very comfortable.

I sat on the first floor – it’s cool and bright, with simple and neat decor. The second floor has a chill vibe, but today was too hot, so I stayed downstairs.

The drink menu is very rich. They have coffee, milk tea, fruit tea, smoothies, yogurt, juice, and especially matcha. They promote matcha a lot – I even saw a special sign outside. Some matcha drinks include: matcha latte, matcha oat milk, matcha coco, matcha macchiato, matcha mango, and matcha cold whisk. Very creative!

I ordered almond milk tea – my usual drink here. It had a strong almond flavor, creamy milk taste, and soft black pearls. For only 32,000 VND (with topping), it’s a good deal!

The fruit tea options also looked nice – like guava-strawberry tea, mango-passion fruit tea, jasmine tea, orange-peach tea, and more. The coffee menu has black coffee, egg coffee, coconut coffee, salted coffee, and even phin-style.

Even though Aloha is no longer the most beautiful cafe in Soc Son, it still has a special place in many people’s hearts. Maybe because it’s been here for so long, the menu is great, the prices are fair, and the space feels familiar. Sometimes, a cafe doesn’t need to be fancy. As long as it brings back feelings – that’s enough.
