Fashion comes and goes

When I was young, I remember a conversation with my grandmother because I noticed something that became fashionable at the time and wasn't really new; it was a version of something that had already been in fashion. My grandmother said to me, “Fashion comes and goes.”
I don't remember exactly how old I was or what the fashion was, but since then I have seen many fashions come and go, with details that differentiate them, but in the end, they are the same. For example, I remember wearing bell-bottom pants when I was about 26 years old. These pants are not and will not be a new fashion. because if we do a little research, we find that they were worn by sailors as early as 1813, but if at any point these flares became notable, it was because of their use in the 1970s, when they reached their peak.
Now, I remember that the difference between the bell-bottoms of the 70s and the ones I wore could be in the fabric, because for a few years now there have been what they call stretch jeans, which are elastic denim pants that contain a small amount of elastane in their composition, and also the colors, but basically they are the same.
On the other hand, for as long as I can remember, there have been wooden arches in my home, which for me have always been something that has distinguished my home, even though part of it ceased to exist after a renovation.
Over the years, in different places, I saw buildings from the 1970s that had tongue-and-groove interiors, which gave me an idea of their age. Although they seemed somewhat outdated, especially due to their characteristic dark tone, I was surprised to see this type of fashion return with the current trend of wall panels, which for me seeks to revive this trend, but using materials such as WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) instead of wood. I like this comeback, and it is currently a trend in my country, Venezuela, for decorating walls in living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms.
Seeing the return of what we could call the new machimbrado has made me happy because I have seen it used in different spaces accompanied by artificial foliage and decorative panels. I also love the availability of new colors, which encouraged me to restore the machimbrado in my home because, in addition to needing it, it was very dark.
Another trend that has made a comeback and that I am a fan of is the bob haircut, of which there are several versions. I started wearing it when I decided that I should spend less time straightening my hair and when I decided to show off my gray hair, which for me looks better with shorter hair. so the bob is the best cut for me, as there are many different ways to wear it (straight, asymmetrical, layered).
I don't know what other fads have made a comeback, and perhaps I haven't noticed, but these were the first ones that came to mind when I read this week's proposal for
Cuando era joven, recuerdo una conversación con mi abuela porque noté algo que se puso de mi moda en ese momento y realmente no era novedoso, era una versión de algo que ya había estado de moda. Mi abuela me dijo: —La moda va y vine. No recuerdo exactamente qué edad tenía, que moda era, pero desde allí si he visto muchas modas ir y venir, con detalles que las diferencian, pero al final es lo mismo, por ejemplo, recuerdo haber usado cuando tenía unos 26 años pantalones de campana, estos pantalones no son ni serán una nueva moda, pues si investigamos un poco se menciona que fueron usados desde 1813 por marineros, pero si en algún momento estas campanas se hicieron notarias, fue por su uso en los 70 donde alcanzaron su apogeo. Ahora bien, recuerdo que entre los pantalones de campana de los 70 y los que yo use, la diferencia podría radicar en la tela, pues desde hace unos años existe lo que llaman jeans strech, que son pantalones de mezclilla elástica, que contienen una pequeña cantidad de elastano en su composición, también los colores, pero básicamente es lo mismo. Por otra parte, desde que tengo recuerdos en mi hogar hay unos arcos con un machimbrado de madera, para mí siempre fueron algo que ha distinguido mi hogar, aun cuando una parte del mismo dejó de existir luego de una remodelación. Con los años en diferentes lugares vi edificios dela década de los 70 que tenían en sus interiores machimbrados eso me daba una idea de sus años de vida y aunque si parecían algo anticuados, sobre todo por el característico tono oscuro, me quede sorprendida al ver de regreso la moda de este tipo con la actual tendencia de los Wall panel, que para mí busca revivir esta tendencia, pero usando, en lugar de madera, materiales como el WPC que en inglés son las siglas de Wood Plastic Composite (Compuesto de madera y plástico) este regresó me gusto y es actualmente en mi país, Venezuela una tendencia para decoración en cuanto revestimiento de paredes en salas, cocinas y habitaciones. El ver el regreso del que podríamos llamar el nuevo machimbrado, me ha dado gusto porque he visto su uso en diferentes espacios acompañado de follaje artificial, paneles decorativos y además al tener disponibilidad de nuevos tonos me encanta, lo que me animo a hacer una restauración del machimbrado de mi hogar porque además de necesitarlo era muy oscuro. Otra moda que ha regresado y de la que soy fan, es el corte de cabello bob, del cual existen diversas versiones, comencé a usarlo cuando decidí que debía dedicar menos horas a planchar mi cabello y cuando decidí lucir mis canas, lo que para mí es mejor en un cabello no tan largo, por lo que el bob para mí es el mejor corte, ya que hay diversidad de versiones para usarlo (recto, asimétrico, con capas) No sé que otras modas han regresado y tal vez no he notado, pero estas fueron las primeras que saltaron a mi mente, al leer la propuesta para esta semana del Versión Español (pulse aquí)
