The Phillies continue this mini slump unfortunately after falling again to the Nationals, a team the Phillies should handle fairly easily. The offense just couldn't find a way to drive any runners in despite recording eight hits yesterday.

The Phillies are in the middle of a roster shuffle at the moment, a mixture of good and bad news.

after taking the ball to the foot the other day. If I were the Phillies I wouldn't rush him back at all. Ace
as he has got a blood clot near his right shoulder, so he's on the injured list with no definitive return date. Definitely praying he's ok! That injury should not be messed with and is bigger than sports, so obviously he should not be rushed back at all.

Some good news for the team at least is that

today to hopefully help bolster this sleepy offense. Nice to see him back!
He looked quite bad before going on the 60 day injured list, it will be huge if he can come back looking close to his old self. José Alvarado is set to return fairly soon as well.

So yeah, it has been an interesting few weeks for the Phillies since the All-Star break. New players, new injuries, players returning from injury. So yeah, this is just a really interesting time. They just gotta keep grinding.

Today's game is being played really early which is actually pretty cool. Change up the routine a bit why not?

Interesting times. Hopefully the Phillies can end this series tied 2-2. The Phillies will see the Nationals again very soon in less than a week! Leave D.C. tied, and try to get the series back starting Friday.
