🍃 Casual Walk to Menteng Park Bintaro

Saturday afternoon, June 28, 2025.. The heat was unbelievable.. But for some reason , that's exactly what made my wife and I leave the house .. Not to the mall , not having coffee , but instead stopping by a park that has always made me curious : Menteng Park Bintaro..

At a little over one in the afternoon we arrived.. The sky was bright , the sun was strong , but the heart was calm.. There was a feeling that said , “This place will make you feel at home..”

As soon as you enter , you are immediately greeted by tall trees that make it cool even though it's broad daylight.. Just imagine , walking slowly among the trees whose leaves are dancing in the wind, it feels like there is a peaceful soundtrack in the head..
I really like parks with lots of trees , and this one isn't stingy with the green stuff.. Every corner seems to invite us to sit down for a while and take a deep breath..

The pedestrian paths are really neat.. Some are curved , some are crossed , but all are clean and comfortable..
I walked with my wife while chatting casually.. There was no destination , just going around and around while looking at the surroundings..
What makes this park so cool is that it's not chaotic.. Even though it's located near a big road , it's not really noisy.. There's a pause.. There is room to breathe..

On one side of the park, I saw a child playing on a swing..His voice was laughing , going up and down , occasionally shouted by his parents to slow down..
It was a moment that made me stop walking , shut up , and smile to myself..
Kids , swings , and clear skies - sometimes that's enough to make the day complete..

If you bring your cell phone , you'll be tempted to take lots of pictures..There's a small bridge here that's really cool to use as a background..
Each side of the park seems to have its own character..Some are quiet , some are crowded , some are suitable for selfies , some are like inviting you to sit while contemplating ..

In the center of the park there is a kind of water channel - it looks like a gutter..But the cool thing is that it has an open-close system , and is always cleaned by the park management..

This red-orange bridge is the most interesting spot in Menteng Park Bintaro..Many people think it's over a lake , but it's actually just an ordinary sewer that is made very neat and routinely cleaned by the manager.. Uniquely , this ditch also has an open-close water system , and because it is always clean , it looks very aesthetic when photographed - especially with the reflection of trees and the sky in the water.. It's simple , but it makes the eye feel at home and the camera can't stay still..

Menteng Park is not very big.. But the great thing is , the layout makes us feel comfortable..
You can sit on a bench , lean against a tree , or just walk back and forth while daydreaming..
And before we knew it , we'd been there for an hour and a half.. Not bored. In fact , it felt like we wanted to stay longer..

When we were sitting under the tree , there was a big wind passing by.. The leaves were falling slowly , like slow motion.
At that moment I thought , “Why didn't I bring bread , coffee , and a mat , so I could lie down and enjoy it in a relaxed way...?”

Well , next time I'm here again , it's mandatory to bring lunch.. This park is too cozy not to be used for casual eating..
