Valkyria Chronicles is a Turn-Based Strategy game set in a fantasy world based on World War II. The story follows Squad 7 of the Gallian Army, as they push back against the Empire threatening to invade their land. It's an anime-style war story, with a lot of heart!

I love this game's presentation. The storybook frame around every scene, the water-colors filter on top of 3D models. The way the story is predented if it's a History Book! It's originally a PS3 game, but it has better animations & presentations compared to modern games in 2025. Playing it is a treat for me, and I hope watching my playthrough would be a treat for you too.

This chapter was a big "What the--" moment for me...

SPOILERS: ...Isara dies... Suddenly, unexpectedly, without a long monologue to prepare us!

After the long battle against the Imperials, Rosie and Isara finally make up. But the leftover Imperials shot Isara, and she dies as a casualty in the battle. Everyone of her friends, plus her new friend Rosie, gather around her in her final moments.

She couldn't make Welkin's dream come true, to make him fly... But she lived a great life, I think.
