Valkyria Chronicles is a Turn-Based Strategy game set in a fantasy world based on World War II. The story follows Squad 7 of the Gallian Army, as they push back against the Empire threatening to invade their land. It's an anime-style war story, with a lot of heart!

I love this game's presentation. The storybook frame around every scene, the water-colors filter on top of 3D models. The way the story is predented if it's a History Book! It's originally a PS3 game, but it has better animations & presentations compared to modern games in 2025. Playing it is a treat for me, and I hope watching my playthrough would be a treat for you too.

Everything changed after losing Isara...

Faldio goes on a temporary leave... While Welkin's squad get a mission to reclaim Bruhl, the hometown of Welkin and Isara. I loved that the commander is the one who requested the mission for their squad, and it wasn't given at random.

Anyway, this meant that the next mission is in the same place as the first chapter of the game. Very poetic considering what happened in the previous chapter. We lost something that was with us from the beginning...
