Calling yourself a “piece of shit” seems like a gesture of strength - as if it were honesty and humility. But in reality, it is not courage, but a form of self-destruction.

Real courage is recognizing your weaknesses without devaluing yourself. Because self-depreciation doesn't lead to growth, it exhausts and paralyzes. Strength comes when we see: yes, I am imperfect, but this is what opens the way to development.

We are not only made up of imperfections. There is both light and shadow in each of us. And the strength is not in devaluing ourselves to zero, but in picking ourselves up, rising up and moving forward.

Our thoughts about ourselves and the words we use to describe ourselves shape us. And if we constantly tell ourselves that we are “nothing,” we begin to live up to that image. But replace the humiliation with honest acceptance and a willingness to work on ourselves, and everything can be fixed.

The power is not in saying, “I'm worthless.” The power is in admitting, “I'm imperfect, but I have a choice to be better.”
