Hair Nets and Crypto: An Unexpected Connection?

Who would have thought that such a simple instrument as a hair net would have a relation to crypto? A hair net, you see, for use in kitchens or even food factories; strange, right? But wait, there is a link.

The work of a hair net is simple: keep hairs away from food. It acts as some sort of "filter" that makes things clean and neat. And in the world of crypto, where it has its kind of digital filter, there is also an equivalent for hair net and that is the blockchain. So, here's the difference: with hair net, if hairs fall, that is the case for some; in the case of a blockchain, that is not true; data is kept intact and verifiable.

Hair nets, in fact, also keep a person in line; like one can be scolded for not wearing it. Same thing with crypto: it has to have protocols, it has to have rules to ensure that everything works. So hair nets and crypto are seemingly opposite of each other but have that much in common on the discipline and security front.

Next time you wear a hair net, think "Wow! This is a small version of a blockchain!"
