A Monochrome Journey Through Connaught Place

Walking through Connaught Place in New Delhi, you are immediately immersed in the heartbeat of the city—a vibrant blend of history, commerce, and urban life. As I began my street photography walk, I chose to frame this iconic location in monochrome. The iPhone 12, with its exceptional ability to capture fine details, proved to be a perfect companion.

The Urban Bicycles

In the first image, I came across a docking station for public bicycles. The close-up shot captured the wheels resting snugly in their slots, with the faintly worn Schwalbe tires displaying the tell-tale marks of countless urban rides. The low-angle perspective brings attention to the spokes of the wheel and the repetitive design of the docking racks extending into the distance. Beyond the bicycles, a "SmartBike" signpost looms as a symbol of the city's push toward modern sustainability. The sidewalk curves subtly into the horizon, bordered by the quintessential Delhi trees, their shadows casting delicate patterns on the pavement.
