GO Fest 2021 Day 2 Recap : Raid Day - Shiny Snorlax and a new 100% IV

Ahoy, I recently wrote the Day 1 recap of GO Fest 2021. With a bit of a delay here is the Day 2 recap. This 2nd day was mostly focused on Raids. With once again 4 different habitats on an hourly rotation and then occurring twice over the course of the whole day. Which was from 10 am through 6 pm local time. All of the Legendary Pokémon that had been in Raids over the course of the game were available during this GO Fest. Every habitat had several Raid Bosses that would appear only then.

With this Day 2 we received a lot of Raid Passes. In the Today View there was an 8-step Quest, all steps consisted of doing a Raid and rewarded a Remote Raid Pass so there were 8 Remote Raid Passes available this way. In the shop we could claim a free box with another 3 Remote Raid Passes. Furthermore we got 10 free Raid Passes from spinning a Gym's Photo Disc over the duration of the day. That was a total of 21 Raid Passes included with the GO Fest ticket.

I walked around with a bunch of people in the first few hours as there were lots of Raids in the city center. So we would see who'd be up for one of the Raids and then go to that Raid to fight it. Whenever people weren't feeling up for a particular boss we did go along just didn't join the fight.

There was a short Special Research called "Strange Rings", because of the rings appearing in the sky. Throughout the whole day we also had this night sky with lots of stars. It was on the world map, when encountering Pokémon (as seen in the thumbnail) and throughout the conversations with Professor Willow. The reason for this was Hoopa, it made the rings appear and let all these Legendary Pokémon come out.

Throughout the day there were still Pokémon spawning for GO Fest as well as on Incense. The Incense spawns just didn't have hourly-exclusive spawns anymore since the habitats from Day 1 were no longer active. One Shiny that I was definitely still looking for since the first day was Snorlax, and I managed to find Shiny Snorlax during the secon day!

Not great IVs, but now I finally have this one Shiny!

During day 1 we unlocked a special animated pose depending on whether you chose the Rock Star or Pop Star Pikachu path. This is animated when looking at friends and also in Gyms, Raid Lobbies and on the recently added Trainer Achievements. Here is a screenshot from one of the Raids I did that day and showed up on the Trainer Achievements. Because of the screenshot there is obviously no animation to my air guitar pose, but you can at least see it a bit.

Sometime in the afternoon while walking around we encountered a wild 100% IV Gligar! It was great to be a wild one so more of us could catch it.

This was the only 100% IV that I caught throughout both days of GO Fest. A bit unfortunate I got only one, but better than none and at least that's my first in the Gligar evolution line!

I did a whole bunch of different Raids, mostly focused on Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres through during their specific hours since I want to get 100% IV for them. I got one Shiny Legendary from the Raids which is the Raikou seen in the thumbnail. All the Raid Passes included with the GO Fest Ticket were definitely nice to receive.
