Paying it Forward

Yesterday i ran from a friends car to Poundland while he waited for me. Said i'd be 5 minutes. Picked up the item i wanted to buy & joined the queue of about 6 people. There were just 2 tills, i noticed a hippy-ish style super-cool looking lady in the queue in front of me. She had a big basket full of stuff and got to a till about 3 people before me.

When i got to the other till i handed over a 1 Pound coin to pay (well, it is Poundland) & the cashier told me it was an old type Pound coin & only banks accepted them now.

i fumbled in my wallet looking for English notes & realised i only had Bulgarian cash so i got out my debit card. i offered the card to the cashier who told me "she's already paid for you", pointing at the cool lady who was still checking out her basketful. i hadn't seen her come over as i was looking in my wallet.

i went over & thanked her profusely, offered the old Pound coin so she could change at a bank & she politely refused. i told her she was very kind. If i hadn't been in a rush to get back to the car, and i'd had my phone or a pen and paper with me, i'd have asked for her number :-) Anyway, i'm here for a month, so who knows, if it's meant to be we'll meet again.

Back at the car i told my friend the story & he said "it sound like she made your day!", and he was right, i felt very good having witnessed (and been a recipient of) an act of human kindness, of #payingitforward.

The is how @amaterasusolar see's how humankind will act when there is no longer a monetary system therefore no longer a need to account for energy. i see it too, and i have a strong conviction that we can move forward to that time more easily if Humanity Unite in True DAO's.

What i call a true DAO, is fully autonomous (therefore anonymous) & utilises a type of "meta" #communitygovernance protocol to help the members of the community (of a "Cause Group") forward it's cause.

The type of meta community governance protocol would be fully decentralised (unable to be controlled by outside forces), deliberation & voting taking place in small groups of c. 6-8 members, and utilising a Reputation system, Qualified entry to different levels of governance decisions, a web of trust & a UID (universal ID) to minimise or even eliminate the influence on governance by bots & sock-puppets.

The protocol could give a daily Universal Dividend (a libre currency based on the Relative Theory of Money) so (once there are sufficient members) all

would be able to be fulfilled for each member. This UD model can be seen in the

The G1 Libre Currency however is not yet a DAO (i may be wrong with that), is not anonymous & does not have a community governance system (yet), but it continues to develop and has been running for about 10 years i think.
