Old Queen Helga's insatiable appetite for causing a ruckus and knack for playing the victim was of world renown.

She eloquently spoke out of both sides of her mouth continuously stirring the pot.

Darling, it took ages for her subjects to catch on.

Some never did, clutching their pearls and swearing allegiance to her Royal Majesty to the bitter end that only concluded with their interment.

Everywhere she went, constant turmoil was left behind.

When she spoke, it was as if she laid hold of all voices, great, small, and mediocre- these voices were nothing but fodder to her...scattering them to the winds.

Her most famous quote—

"If they be divided, how on earth can they stand as one?"

Always followed by her feigned droll laugh.

She explained one time to her closest and most beloved Lady-in-waiting, Astrid—

"Whose a goat?
Whose a sheep?
Until the end of all that is, they'll bicker and squabble over this... Everyone thinks they're on the right team!
Sheep look down their noses at goats while also deciding who is and is not a genuine sheep.
Goats take pride in not being a blind sheep. Silly rabbits!
All of them!
They simply don't understand the highest power, God himself, controls all of them by his very hand!
The sheep and the goats.
Take note, it's wise to play nice!
And that goes not only for you, but me too...
There's an order to things, dearest Astrid, they simply do not understand."

In fact, remnants of her workings continue to this day with her ancestors.

She bestowed it upon them from her death bed, decreeing her "gift" live on through her descendants for all time.

Sound familiar?

It should...
