My Younger Self

There is a saying that goes “We learn every day” It simply means every day I learn new things and every year, I am introduced to something new. For instance last year I had no idea about the Hive blockchain and then this year I got to know about it through my best friend. That simply means that what I didn’t know when I was younger I now have a more vivid idea about it.
When we were in primary school we were told that we have just 5 vowels but as we grew up we found out that there are 20 vowels. So as we grow every day we learn new ideas, we have more experience and we learn new lessons in life.

If I’m given the choice to go back in time to my younger self, I will gladly take the opportunity because I will be super excited to tell my younger self what decisions to take to be way better than I am right now.
If I were to choose the age I would love to go back to then I would choose when I was 16. I think that is one age that I wished I made so many decisions. Hence, if I were to give my 16-year-old self 3 advice it would be:
The first piece of advice would be to learn a skill earlier. I’m at a point in my life where I wish that immediately I left high school I learned a skill. I think if I had learned the skill earlier I would be great at it by now and I would be good in whatever field I had chosen to have a skill in.
The Next piece of advice I would give to my 16-year-old self is Beware of bad friends. I have never been great at friendship as I usually have encounters with people who make me feel that friendship is a terrible idea. I think when I was younger I gave an open hand to everyone who wanted to be close to me without any background checks, or I overlooked some attitudes and in the end, there was a fallout.
I’m thankful that at this point I have been able to change that and have friends that are worth it. Friends with like minds who just want you to succeed alongside them.
Lastly, if I go back to my younger self. I will let her know that being outspoken is not being proud. I will advise her to be outspoken and have self-esteem as she deserves it. I will let her know that being outspoken will save her from so many things and will introduce her to several opportunities. My 16-year-old self was naive and shy, so I advised her to come out of her shell and show the world what she got.

In all I’m thankful for the point I am in my life, I have been exposed to several things in life and I am hoping to attain greater heights. Time is precious and I will make use of the knowledge I have now to achieve more.
