In most things, I'm pretty hyper-organised.... but for some reason, when I planted the winter seeds with my children a few months back, I didn't take notes on what we planted where... and so, with some of the things starting to take hold... I actually have no idea what is where! Thankfully, I do think that I have some photos of the seed packets somewhere... and I did post about it, so it should also be somewhere on HIVE as well! Ah well, a lesson for the future... draw a little map of what we planted in each planter!

So, these first ones... definitely weeds... I see these things on the lawn as well, and I keep pulling them out. What I was expecting here was wild French strawberries... and nothing like that has sprouted up yet... mostly weeds only here. I know that they are strawberries, because the existing strawberries are taking up the other half of the planter!

... and this is the sage from the first original crop, and so I know what this is! We cut it back so that the new growth would have a bit more space and light. This was one of the more successful things from the first planting.... and I'm looking forward to being able to harvest it again! Roasts and pasta sauces really got a lot out of it!

... hmmmm... the first mystery. These leaves are pretty distinctive... so, I should be able to figure out what they are once I find the seed packets and google the grown plants.

... same one, but bigger.

Now these, the leaves smell like coriander. I don't remember buying coriander... despite the label that is already in the soil. I think we tried to plant coriander in the first planting in this location... but they never took hold. Is it possible that these are rising from the dead?

Our rainbow chard/spinach... these were THE standout veggies from the first crop, and they survived through the winter and are still going strong! They are growing faster than we can eat them... and we have been also giving them away as well!

Carrots... I know what I planted on this half... and unfortunately, the snails slaughter these ones. Every time that there is a promising shoot... it gets chomped away. Which reminds me... snail baiting again...

... no idea. But they are growing strong! I suspect it is beetroot? I think I did order those... and as you can see, I probably planted them too close together. Next time we use seeds, it will be with a seed tape rather than trying to pour them carefully!

.... ummmm... could be anything really! We did have some parsley topped something or order... maybe this is it?

... and the last one, I think that this is one of the Asian mustard greens. I guess I should harvest a bit and try it out in a stir fry or salad or something. Hopefully not poisonous leaves!
