That was a nice day. The air was transparent, the sky clear, and the COVID pandemic was kicking into high gear.

On the right is a stack of firewood that if I remember right is, or at least was, available for free.

Pandemic get-up.
It was only later that we learned that masking up outside was in all likelihood pretty much useless as actual transmission of the virus is not highly likely outdoors.

Sunny out, hardly any people in sight.

Services likely cancelled due to the shutdown of society.

Wildlife sanctuary coming right up to the road

Local car dealership
They have a weird collection of vehicles there - some antiques, some used modern ones.

Most businesses seemed to be closed, likely due to the lockdown.
The petrol station was open.

Access to the parking lot was closed - you could not drive into it and officially weren't allowed to go in, best I could tell. Naturally, I went in anyways.

The signage there is quite good.

Felled by a storm that had caused a lot of damage to the neighborhood a year or so prior, if I remember right.

Some research also indicates that the UV component in the sunlight denatures and deactivates coronavirus which is part of what makes outdoor transmission of COVID-19 unlikely.
