I was surfing through the community this evening when I came across a post shared by @ulisg where she talked about her star appliance, the portable steam iron. Her post taught me a lesson of “one man's food is another’s poison,” lol. I was about to share another Star electronic appliance at home which is the electric pressing iron before coming across this post by a friend.

To be very honest, just like Ulisg said, the portable steam iron is far way easier to use than the normal pressing iron which is not portable. But it is often said that “one should cut his clothes according to his material.” For me, I can't afford the portable steam iron so I have decided to go for one that can fit in my budget to avoid going into personal bankruptcy.

So basically today, I would be talking about another Star Appliance we have at home which has served notable purposes at home. Some clothes actually don't need to be straightened/pressed with pressing iron while some have to be pressed or would appear so rumpled. So for such clothes, this appliance has made life easier and I don't have to care about rumpled dresses because the pressing iron got my back.

At the clothes pressing room just by the end of the gaming veranda, we have a setup for pressing our rumpled dresses after every laundry. I sometimes press my dresses in my room but this spot it's the right and general spot for everyone as we also mounted a clothes ironing board.
Under the table is the clothes bag which if needed, one can actually gather the clothes needed to be pressed into. This is to avoid the stress of going to the drying line or wardrobe to get the clothes individually.

Under the table too, we have the clothes straightener spray. This helps to straighten and add scents to dresses. Though not all straighteners do come with scents, those with scents will definitely cost more but we prefer going for those as it goes a long way to give the house a nice smell whenever anyone is pressing clothes.

The reason why everyone is expected to iron clothes at this spot is due to security reasons. I can remember the last time my brother who was pressing his clothes in his room forgot to switch off the socket and the pressing iron heated up and almost set the room ablaze. At the ironing spot, we also have a stabilizer to which the pressing iron is plugged to because it's a heavy appliance to avoid electrical hazards.

Sometimes what we smell has a way of influencing our feelings. I now enjoy pressing my clothes even when they're not rumpled just to make use of the clothes straightener and get enough of that sweet smelling scent it gives off.
Sometimes, I used to think of how one would appear on a rumpled shirt and trousers. So definitely, this pressing iron is a star appliance at home because it's actually impacted our fashion in a positive way as it is often said “how one dresses is how he'd be addressed.”
