The world of emulators is one that has fascinated me for some time. We're talking about reviving or preserving video games that are probably no longer available, or the multi-million dollar companies that made them have stopped processing orders and have put an end to the production of certain works, even the most iconic ones.

I don't know about you, but I live in a country and region where many of these systems don't usually make it to market, and when they do, they're always packed with a huge amount of taxes, so buying several of these consoles is usually an impossible task the moment they come out.

Having to wait many years from now, and even generations of consoles, before we can buy some of them secondhand, so It's been a habit for several decades to wait for the price to drop so we can even have a chance to buy them.

I think you can ask anyone who lives in my country about this. I'd dare say that only a tiny fraction of the population can afford the new releases. This is how I came across EePSXe, an emulator that's been around for a while. En especial si hablamos por supuesto de esos juegos que solo se lanzaron en cartuchos o cds especiales y que muy probablemente iban a hacer un dolor de cabeza para nosotros los jugadores del tercer mundo para poder encontrar algunos de estos o incluso para encontrar algunos vestigios de las consolas que corren esos juegos

No sé ustedes pero yo vivo en un país y en una región en donde usualmente no llegan muchos de estos sistemas al mercado y cuando llegan siempre están empacados con una cantidad gigantesca de impuestos por lo que comprar varias de estas consolas suele ser una tarea imposible en el momento que salen

Teniendo esperar muchos años en adelante e incluso generaciones de consolas para que podamos comprar de segunda mano algunas de esas, por lo que desde hace varias décadas en una costumbre esperar que el precio baje y con esto poder tener siquiera una oportunidad para comprarlas

Esto creo que puedes preguntarselo a cualquiera que viva en mi pais, me atreveria a decir que solo una infima parte de la poblacion puede permitirse los lanzamientos, del resto estamos condenados a buscar las ofertas o en estos casos recurrir a la comunidad para poder jugar algunos de esos juegos al menos por ahora

Es asi como llegue a EePSXe, un emulador que esta desde hace algun tiempo por ahi rondando, ya lo habia usado en otros momentos para jugar juegos de la primera playstation pero jamas me habia motivado a configurarlo adecuadamente para poder COMPLETAR esos juegos, hay todo un mundo de configuraciones en estos emuladores y no hay una guia especifica sobre cual es el mejor setup

Por lo que aca todo es mucha prueba y error, estuve probando con algunos juegos, incluido pasarme finalmente ese Crash Bandicoot que he estado posponiendo y creo que todo es cuestion de que tan bien este optimizado el videojuego que vamos a jugar, recordemos que algunos de estos estan mejor "adaptados" a emuladores que otros, por lo que nuevamente esta en control del jugador ver que funciona

Podemos modificar desde los controles para jugarlo con algunos de esos joysticks que se encuentran en Aliexpress hasta tener full control de los graficos y como el videojuego se ve, en este apartado de graficos hay una infinidad de variables por lo que yo suelo mantenerlo muy simple para mi pc, uso el modo ventana y el core del emulador lo voy cambiando dependiendo de que funcione mejor
