The Return of the King of Curses: Sukuna

Hello anime lovers welcome to my blog once again. Today I'll be taking a quick dive into the life of one of the most important characters in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, the king of curses himself Ryoma Sukuna.

In a world plagued by dangerous curses invisible to the human eye and requires the strength of sorcerers to cleanse these threats lies a figure so menacing that his name is regarded as a disaster. He is not just an overpowered curse but the embodiment of pure evil that will not hesitate to kill both humans and curses alike if he deems them as weak.

Feared by sorcerers and worshipped by curses, Sukuna is regarded as the pinnacle of strength and he goes out his way to live up to his name. However even the most deadly character in this universe has his own unique story.

Born as a human with the abilities of a sorcerer in the golden age of sorcery over a thousand years ago, Sukuna had four arms, a deformed face was literally the strongest within this very era. He was so powerful that his body resisted being destroyed and even after his death his, he possessed so much strength that his 20 indestructible fingers were sealed away to prevent them falling into the wrong hands but they were still able to attract curses. Even after death Sukuna was able to transform into a curse and not just any curse, the strongest of them all. His sheer abilities alone was enough to earn him the title The king of curses and I kid you not, he actually lived up to that very name.

Years later, Sukuna's soul wounds up in the body of a young Jujutsu sorcerer named Itadori Yuki after the lad swallows one of his finger. Sukuna struggles to maintain control of this body as Yuji's willpower is so refined that he is able to keep Sukuna subdued. However, anytime Sukuna gains full control of the Yuji's body, he immediately goes on a rampage, wrecking havoc, causing mayhem and torturing people just for entertainment. The king of curses not only inflicts pain on his victims but he does it with a twisted smile on his face.

He also has a Superiority complex believing himself to be above every being in the universe. Even when he is ambushed and outnumbered, Sukuna still states that his attackers are not enough to defeat him which he proves by taking them all down with very little effort after he is done toying with them. His abilities include: cutting through space, reverse cursed technique for healing even the most fatal wounds, speed, physical strength, flame control and the malevolent shrine (domain expansion) that is able to destroy anything within its territory.

As the series continue to unravel, Sukuna becomes a primary figure restructuring the lives of every character in the series. What makes him truly memorable is not just his aura but also the fact that he is just a pure evil villain that is unwilling to help his vessel unlike some characters. I truly enjoy watching go crazy, not !for fame, glory or revenge but simply because he can.
