How to Use the Bodum Chambord French Press

Step 1: Add coarse ground coffee to the Chambord French Press. For each cup, incorporate one Bodum® spoon of coffee. One Bodum® spoon equals 0.25 oz. / 7 gr. of coffee.

Step 2: Pour hot, but not boiling, water over the coffee grounds in the French Press. Use 4 oz. / 0.12L of water for each Bodum® spoon of coffee. A Bodum Bistro Double Wall Water Kettle can be utilized for this step.

Step 3: Stir the coffee and water mixture using a wooden or plastic utensil.

Step 4: Position the plunger lid on top of the French Press and ensure the pour spout is closed.

Step 5: Allow the coffee to brew for 4 minutes. An hourglass timer, typically integrated into the plunger mechanism, can assist in timing this process.

Step 6: Gently press down the plunger into the French Press.

Step 7: Turn the lid to open the pour spout and pour the freshly brewed coffee into a cup.
