I came across a funny animated series that I wanted to share with you today. It's by Dan Harmon, known among other things for his participation in Rick & Morty, the most spectacular show of recent years. In fact, Dan Harmon is material for a separate post, he made pieces like Community, a hilarious comedy series, Dan has an exceptional talent for the comic, the exotic and the unexpected.

The story is set in a Greek era, in a fictional kingdom called Krapopolis. Where a demigod, Tyranus is king. Son of a goddess exiled from Olympus and married to a monster. A world where gods, humans and extravagant creatures coexist in everyday life. Despite an apparent superficiality and simple humor, the series is interesting, diverse and original. The name is a little unfair or sarcastic because Tyranus is not a dictator at all and on the contrary, he is the one who brings a little empathy to the situation.

The king is naive and foolish but well-intentioned and wants the best for his people. Although it is difficult in this world of capricious gods and invading monsters. The goddess had several children, as well as her father the monster. So the king has several very peculiar brothers. One is a fish who lives with a helmet to breathe and his sister is a hybrid of a cyclops and a goddess, super strong and brave like a copy of Hercules, but with only one eye.

The brother is a fish man inventor, very intelligent but also unable to see some of the coolest ideas of Tyranus his brother, such as written language and drainage there is a very fun intertemporal game of knowledge.

The period setting is very well done and it's a cartoon that I found entertaining and made me laugh quite a bit. The characters are well defined and have good synergy. It's very funny to see Tyranus fighting for Krapopolis to be recognized as a modern city while everything around him falls apart again and again. Often misunderstood and boycotted even by his own family, the people also take up the torches and ask for his head several times.

Me crucé con una graciosa serie animada que quería compartirles hoy. Es de Dan Harmon, conocido entre otras cosas por su participación en Rick & Morty, el show más espectacular de los últimos años. De hecho Dan Harmon es material para un post aparte, hizo piezas como Community, una serie de humor hilarante, Dan tiene un talento excepcional para lo cómico, lo exotico y lo inesperado.

La historia se sitúa en un escenario de la época griega, en un reino ficticio llamado Krapopolis. Donde un semi dios, Tyranus es rey. Hijo de una diosa exiliada del olimpo y está casada con un monstruo. Un mundo donde dioses, humanos y criaturas extravagantes conviven en la cotidianidad. A pesar de una aparente superficialidad y humor simple, la serie es interesante, diversa y original. El nombre es un poco injusto o sarcástico porque Tyranus no tiene nada de dictador y por el contrario es quien le pone un poco de empatía a la situación.

El rey es ingenuo y tonto pero bien intencionado y quiere lo mejor para su pueblo. Aunque es difícil en este mundo de dioses caprichosos y monstruos invadiendo. La diosa tuvo varios hijos, así como su padre el monstruo. Por lo que el rey tiene varios hermanos muy peculiares. Uno es un pez que vive con un casco para respirar y su hermana una híbrido de cíclope y diosa, super fuerte y valiente como una copia de Hércules, pero con un solo ojo.

El hermano es un hombre pez inventor, muy inteligente pero también incapaz de ver algunas de las ideas más geniales de Tyranus su hermano, como el lenguaje escrito y el drenaje hay un juego intertemporal de conocimiento muy divertido.

El contexto de época está muy bien realizado y es una caricatura que me pareció entretenida y me sacó bastantes risas. Los personajes están bien definidos y tienen buena sinergia. Es muy gracioso ver a Tyranus luchando por que Krapopolis sea reconocida como una ciudad moderna mientras todo a su alrededor se desmorona una y otra vez. Muchas veces incomprendido y boicoteado hasta por su propia familia, también el pueblo toma las antorchas y pide su cabeza varias veces.

Desgraciadamente tiene una sola temporada, pero seguro veremos más cosas de Dan Harmon que es un artista bastante prolifero. Hasta aquí llega el post espero que les haya gustado, realmente les recomiendo la serie, es super entretenida! Gracias por leerme y dejenme su comentario si les gustó!
