A PURE ADVENTURE AT TINAGO FALLS

An experience that you will never forget. Come on try, come, and visit this very challenging yet amazing adventure here in Tinago Falls, Iligan City, Philippines.
As teachers, we are not only teaching, molding, and disciplining students. We are also bombarded with paperwork that can drain us, stress us out, and even affect our mental health. So we were very happy when we were surprisingly given a one-week “Health Break” or wellness break to recharge ourselves. And this trip is one of the best ways for us to do that. My group of friends immediately planned this getaway. Luckily, we have a “yayamin friend” who owns a car so problem solved. Yehey!
We prepared ourselves for this adventure and brought food as well. Tinago Falls is one of the tallest and largest waterfalls in Mindanao, Philippines. You need to be prepared and save your energy because to reach this hidden natural wonder, you’ll have to go down 356 steps, which will really make your heart race especially when going back up.

Tinago Falls is about 240 meters high and 90 feet deep. We went near the falls and rode a bamboo raft where we experienced the powerful pressure of the flowing and falling water it felt like being under heavy rain. The experience was absolutely breathtaking, especially when you're very close to the waterfall. It’s truly one of the best adventures I’ve ever had. Some of my friends were a bit scared because of the strong water current.
The rock formations are also amazing. The water flows down like a natural fountain and almost like a giant shower where you can sit on the rocks and get soaked. The water is refreshing and slightly cold, which is perfect for the summer season.

The most challenging part is going back up, because you have to climb the steep stairs, it will really make you sweat! But once you reach the top, it feels like success.
