3 years on Hive and an unforgettable escape from routine (Eng-Esp)

Greetings to you, and my eternal gratitude for your company. Celebrating an anniversary is always a pleasant reminder when the date to celebrate marks a pause in life, a change of direction, or a new experience. Today, August 14, 2025, I celebrate 3 years since I started publishing on Hive. While it is not difficult to publish and master the ecosystem, it is not an easy task to maintain motivation. Something you learn if you are guided from the beginning is that votes are not guaranteed, which means that many of your publications will go into a sort of repository that no one cares about or reads.

At this point in life, it shouldn’t bother me; it’s something I learned long ago, and it works the same way in other more active social networks or those with a larger number of users. But in the end, I am not here to complain; today is a day of celebration and gratitude. During these 3 years on the blockchain, I have managed to generate income that, in more than a few cases, has gotten me out of trouble—indeed, it has helped me make it to the end of the month or week.

Today also brought the opportunity to share with family and spend a different kind of day. The plan worked out; I wanted to go to the river with my wife and family, and everything came together to make it happen. The day’s journey began early, organizing the seasoning and vegetables for a “caldosa” (a type of stew with vegetables and meat, in case you are not familiar), firewood in hand, and pots ready to cook by the river. I must say the food was plentiful; around 11 a.m., we had a luxurious appetizer that kept me full until around 2 p.m., and with the caldosa, everything was complete—I could barely breathe, and if I had worn a shirt, the button surely would have popped.

These small moments are what make the difference. Today I celebrate my 3 years on Hive and cherish the memory of a break from routine and daily life. A day full of joy, now recorded on the blockchain with my little story—one of the magical things you can achieve with Hive.

Un saludo para usted, y mi agradecimiento eterno por su compañía. Celebrar un aniversario siempre es un recordatorio grato cuando la fecha a celebrar marca un alto en la vida, un cambio de rumbo o una nueva experiencia. Hoy, 14 de agosto de 2025, cumplo 3 años desde que comencé a publicar en Hive. Si bien no es difícil publicar y dominar el ecosistema, no es una tarea fácil mantener la motivación. Algo que se sabe si te guían desde que comienzas es que los votos no están asegurados, lo que significa que muchas de tus publicaciones irán a una especie de repositorio que a nadie le importa o nadie lee.

A esta altura de la vida no debería causarme molestias; es algo que aprendí hace mucho, y funciona igual en otras redes sociales más activas o con mayor número de usuarios. Pero, en fin, no es de quejarme de lo que quiero hablar; hoy es un día de celebración y agradecimiento. Durante estos 3 años en la blockchain he logrado generar ingresos que, en no pocos casos, me han sacado de un apuro; vaya que me han ayudado a llegar a fin de mes o de semana.

Hoy se sumó la oportunidad de compartir en familia y pasar un día diferente. Lo planeado se logró: quería ir al río con mi esposa y familia, y todo se confabuló para lograrlo. La travesía empezó temprano, organizando la sazón y viandas para una caldosa (especie de caldo con viandas y carne, por si no sabe de lo que hablo), leña en mano y los calderos para cocinar en el río. Tengo que decir que la alimentación fue copiosa; cerca de las 11 a. m. comimos un aperitivo de lujo que me mantuvo lleno hasta cerca de las 2 de la tarde, y con la caldosa ya se completó todo. Me costaba respirar; si tuviera camisa, de seguro hubiera saltado el botón.

Estos pequeños momentos son los que marcan la diferencia. Hoy celebro mis 3 años en Hive y guardo un grato recuerdo de una escapada de la rutina y la vida diaria. Un día lleno de alegría que queda guardado en la cadena de bloques, ahora con mi pequeño relato, otra de las cosas mágicas que se puede lograr con Hive.
