You know, sometimes I just sit down and think about this word karma. It’s one of those words we hear almost every day from people around, movies, social media, even from parents. But have you ever stop to really think about what it truly means? For me, karma is like a quiet thing that just follows you anywhere you go. You might not see it, but it’s just there watching, waiting for the right time to show face.

I remember back then in secondary school, something funny but serious happen. During exam, my pen got missing and I quickly took someone else pen to write because I didn’t want to fail. I told myself I will return it later but I forgot. The next day, my school bag was stolen with all my books, my calculator and even my exam card. That day I almost cried my eyes out. And I said to myself, “maybe na karma catch me today.” Since that day, I just believe that anything we do in this life, one day it will come back to us either good or bad.

But you see, sometimes I still always look it like wonder if karma really works for everybody. Because at times I seen people who do very wicked things, yet nothing bad happen to them. They still live fine, drive big cars and even laugh anyhow. And then, I see some nice and honest people that life deal with so hard. Sometimes it makes me confuse, like maybe karma sleeps sometimes or it just delay small.

Still, I know and believe in my heart that if you do good, somehow, good will come back to you, even if it takes time. Maybe not from the same person, but life always has one way to pay you back. And if you do bad, e go come back too, maybe not immediately but surely.

So, when people say karma will catch up with you, I don’t see it as a threat. It’s just a reminder that this life no get duplicate what goes around really comes around. Maybe slow, maybe fast, but e must turn back one day.

What about you? You believe karma is real or na just coincidence? Because from what I’ve seen so far, karma no dey forget. It just take its time.
