THE GUACHA: THE PIZZA THAT BREAKS ALL THE RULES IN MEDELLÍN🍕 [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, fellow food lovers, how are you doing…

This past weekend we had the opportunity to participate in the PIZZA MASTER event in the city of Medellín, Colombia. The event featured several restaurants specialized in this type of food, all competing for a prize and greater recognition.

We went to a place called BIGOTES in the town of Sabaneta here in Medellín. We had to wait in line since there were many people eager to try the pizza they were competing with.

🍕WHAT WAS ON THE PIZZA

Well, it’s a very different pizza compared to others because it’s hard to eat with your hands it’s quite heavy and the base isn’t firm. I’d compare its presentation more to a pie since they even brought us cutlery. It had lots and lots of cheese in the center and on the edges, barbecued pork, chimichurri, cream cheese, crunchy pork crackling, and it was topped with a spicy honey (though it didn’t taste spicy to me). To go with it, we ordered mango and passion fruit sodas.

The pizza is called GUACHA, although this restaurant specializes in German style pizza, and the GUACHA was prepared using that technique.

🍕THE PLACE

The place itself is simple yet spacious, with good lighting, and the staff was very kind. They even set up chairs in the line so we could wait comfortably until a table was free.

I really enjoy these kinds of events in Medellín because they help boost the city’s economy. One piece of advice though: be patient, since you’ll probably have to wait in line and sometimes the preparation takes longer than expected due to the high volume of orders. Still, I 100% recommend this place simple but delicious.

Saludos humanos amantes de la comida como están...

Este finde tuvimos la oportunidad de participar en el evento de PIZZA MASTER de la ciudad de Medellín Colombia, este costaba de varios locales de comida especializados en este tipo de alimento, los cuales estaban participando en dicho evento para ganar un premio y buena reputación.
Nosotros fuimos a un negocio que se llama BIGOTES en el municipio de Sabaneta aquí en Medellin, nos toco hacer fila ya que había muchas personas interesadas en probar la pizza con la que participaban.

QUE LLEVABA LA PIZZA
Bueno es una pizza muy diferente a las demás ya que es difícil comer con la mano ya que es muy pesada y su base no es fuerte , yo asocio mucho la presentacion con una tarta ya que hasta cubiertos nos trajeron. Trae muchooooo quedo en el centro y los bordes , cerdo en barbacoa, chimichurri, queso crema, chicharrón cortante y termina con una miel picante que a mi no me pico y bueno pedimos para acompañar unas sodas de mango y maracuya.
El nombre de la pizza se llama GUACHA aunque este establecimiento se especializa en pizza alemana y bueno la GUACHA fue preparada con este tecnica.

EL LUGAR
Bueno el lugar es sencillo y amplio, tiene buena iluminación y su personal fue muy amable, incluso nos pusieron sillas en la fila para esperar que alguna mesa se desocupara para nosotros ingresar.

Bueno me ha gustado este tipo de eventos en medellín ya que activa la economía de la ciudad, eso si como consejo ten paciencia porque te toca hacer fila y en ocasiones tu preparación se puede demorar un poco mas de lo deseado por el volumen de pedidos. Pero te recomiendo 100% este lugar sencillo pero delicioso.
