Good morning lovely Steemit people!

First thing first. I would like to say thank you to all of the awesome people who voted for
in the 2019 Steem Round Contest. Receiving 81 votes was EXCELLENT! Thank you to those of you who liked my round, like me, or just took pity on me as I begged for votes! 😄 A special thank you to @bearone for begging for votes on my behalf all over the blockchain. You are a true blue mate of the highest caliber and you rock in like 100 different ways. 🤗

I would also like to extend my congratulations to @edxserverus on his impressive victory in the competition. I tried my darnedest to snuff you out! 😄 However, your round is exquisite and you are super talented. Plus, my round would not have received the attention it did without your skills in making it look like a coin. So thank you so very much to you!

And now onto something completely different. 😄

This weekend (which feels like it started on Thursday) has been all about gatherings. Which is awesome if you are like me and enjoy time with company vs. solo time. Things kicked off on Thursday afternoon with a work “team building” event.

One of my co-workers owns a floating home on the east side of Seattle’s Lake Union. Along with the house, she and her boyfriend/partner/long time love have a speed boat, stand up paddle board, kayaks and floaties. (The boat came from selling bitcoin at the RIGHT time!) So co-worker invited us all over Thursday afternoon for appetizers, drinks and water fun.

Her place is tiny. It has one bedroom, one bathroom, a galley kitchen, and a small living/dining room combo. Even their laundry is outside on the dock. But WOW! Being right on the water was so relaxing, and one corner of the house basically opened up to bring the lake right into the living space.

This was a way better to spend my work day than being #inthecube.

Friday Fun!

Friday brought together more lovely Steemit people!

Mrs. Plaid, me, @plaid and @summertooth at
in Seattle’s Greenlake neighborhood.

@summertooth came back to Seattle on Thursday to drop his family off for a cruise. Summer is always game for SSG/Steemit meetups. So last week he posted

invitation.

Wouldn’t you know, @plaid answered the call!

Like @senstless, @plaid likes to keep an air of internet mystery. (See photo above. ☺️) He and his wife drove to Seattle from a decent distance just to hang (and buy some rice). They are super lovely! We chatted about Steemit, stupid Seattle traffic and Plaid’s obsession with domain names. (It was cool hearing him chat in person about how domains are bought and sold at auction and the money to be made speculating on domains.) We also heard about pets and the plaid family’s moves across the country.

AND HE EVEN WORE A PLAID SHIRT! 😄

So great, even if it was just to entertain Summer and me.😉

Yesterday was sunny and absolutely gorgeous.

I finished up work mid day just for this meetup. After the Plaids headed home, Summer and I drove down to the cruise ship terminal to wave farewell to the rest of the “Tooth” family. I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo of the ship. It was MASSIVE! Such an awesome adventure for the little tooths to be taking with their grandparents.

After a brief stint of being locked into the cruise ship terminal grounds, we drove over to

to follow the ship for a bit up the coast. Discovery Park is 534 acres of wild lands right along the shores of the Puget Sound. As you wander through it is like being deep in the wilderness. Then you emerge on a bluff high above the Shoreline with views of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains and on this day... cruise ships. 😊

The cruise ship looked so small from here. 😄

After enjoying the views for a bit, Summer braved Seattle traffic to take me back to my car. Ha ha, but then he ended up staying at a hotel just 6 minutes from our house! 😆 While we didn’t hang later, I did get to hear about him visiting my neighborhood eateries and shops. 😂😄

Later in the evening (with @summertooth aimless wandering just blocks away), hubs and I took a stroll by the waterfront with our pooches. The sun was starting to set and the temperature was so pleasant. I love where I live.

Friday was the bee’s knees all around. 🐝

Which brings us to today!

Unlike yesterday’s 85F day of sunshine, today is cloudy and overcast. It is kind of refreshing... but I do prefer the sun.

I woke up and was out the door early today to show Summer my “sketchy” coin shop. We met there right at opening. Hoping to beat the old timers to treasures, but alas... there were no treasures to be found! Even the mercury dime bin was empty!!!

Summer walked away from the coin shop with NOTHING. 😭😭😭 I picked up two items from the generic bin. Each was 1oz and .999 pure. The first round I got (of course) was a 1996 Christmas round! 🎄My second purchase from Monument Metals was a round with images of Washington, DC.

After farewelling Summer again, I headed back towards home to visit a local farmer’s market.

All the fresh veggies.

For some reason I never remember to bring a bag to the market. However, I did make a couple of purchases. Today I came home with some croissants and a bouquet of flowers. 😍

Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers.

As for the rest of today... there is a chance we will be heading to a parade! Seattle has a big summer festival called Seafair. Tonight is the Torchlight Parade, one of Seafair’s signature events. My husband was given tickets to grandstand seating by his work. If this drizzle stops, I am hoping we head downtown for the festivities. ☺️

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend!

Mrs Plaid and @plaid, it was great to meet you! Thanks again for driving all the way here to visit. And of course @summertooth, it was fun to see you as always. 🤗

WHO’S NEXT?!!! 😄

Cheers! 🥂 ❤️ @dfinney
