Good afternoon, friends of the #fungifriday community. With all due respect, I would like to greet all of you in this great community, and of course, to anyone who has visited and read my blog. My respects to you all.

Well, today, Friday, August 1st, marks the beginning of the month, and we all hope it marks a new beginning in our lives. Of course, we all want the best in all our activities. The world hasn't been doing well lately. I am deeply saddened by all the events, whether it be war or the recent natural disasters. Stay strong, always be vigilant and careful, my friends.

So, friends, finally, as usual, today we are here again to participate in a post contest/challenge about mushrooms in this community. I am very happy to be able to participate in the #fungifriday community, organized by @ewkaw, the host and provider of this very interesting venue.

This is my contribution to the #FungiFriday challenge by @ewkaw.

So, here are some mushroom images I will share below:

This time, I discovered a type of mushroom growing on a rotting coconut tree trunk while visiting a garden. This mushroom is a type of turkey tail mushroom, a colorful bracket fungus that grows year-round, but is most beautiful in autumn. Its circular cap can be seen growing in tiers on trees and dead wood.

The scientific name for this mushroom is Trametes versicolor.
Turkey tail mushrooms are small, sturdy, bracket-shaped fungi that grow in layers on dead wood—especially hardwoods, such as beech or oak. These mushrooms are very common and can be found throughout the UK on rotting stumps and branches. Fungi are members of their own kingdom and obtain nutrients and energy from organic matter, rather than photosynthesis like plants.

Often, only the fruiting body, or "mushroom," is visible to us, emerging from a network of tiny, invisible filaments called "hyphae." These fruiting bodies produce spores for reproduction, although fungi can also reproduce asexually by fragmentation. based on the following source:

Well, that's all I can share in my blog today. I really appreciate your support, along with your criticism and suggestions, to make this post even more perfect and useful for all of us.

Thank you for visiting this post, and see you in the next one. Best regards.
