Hi there. In mid August 2025, I take the trip to Toronto to shop around, do some errands and eat.

I return to Toronto's Banh Mi Boys Vietnamese Sandwich shop.

Kalbi Beef Banh Mi Sandwich

I was tempted to try out Shake Shack or some other burger place. In the end I went to Banh Mi Boys again in Toronto. I knew that it is not busy and wait times would not be too long versus the popular options.

They have a touch screen for you to order (picture not shown). I prefer self serve ordering over talking to the employee when ordering. Instead of the usual Grilled Chicken Banh Mi sandwich, I wanted to pay a little more and try a Kalbi Beef Banh Mi sandwich.

The cost of this was around 12.50 CAD after tax. This Kalbi beef Banh Mi was 1 dollar more than the Grilled Chicken one.

When it comes to spice level, you choose from either:

  • No Spice
  • Medium with Sriracha Chili Sauce
  • Hot with Thai Chillies

I went with the Medium spice.

Here is the Kalbi Beef Banh Mi. It is a baguette with Kalbi beef short rib inside along with pickled carrots, some cucumber slices and cilantro. I think there is also some BBQ sauce also.

The beef and sauce was very tasty.

I also took a picture of their washroom. It is a private single washroom with a nice sink.

Whenever I am in downtown Toronto, Banh Mi Boys is one of my go to places for quick and inexpensive eats. It is not as popular as McDonalds, Five Guys, Shake Shack or Chick-fil-A but this local franchise has some good food without big lineups.

Thank you for reading.
