Hello, Hivers. It's me Doughnahhh, back again with another blog series! Today, I feel excited to share with you all a heartwarming story of a special interaction I had with my former coworker, who once felt like a second mother to me at my previous workplace back then. We reconnected again over her birthday celebration, which brings me back many pleasant memories together. Come with me as I take you through this meaningful time.
I had a coworker back then who was very like a second mother to me there. We worked together at Puregold Mango, and she always treated me with real care and concern. She treated me like family, like he will bring me food that we will also be sharing, and I sincerely valued her warmth and support. Unfortunately, I had to resign from that position, and we lost touch for a long time. But, to my surprise, fate fortunately placed us together again her boarding house is conveniently located near my current workplace! It was a pleasant and unexpected meeting, and it reminded me how important relationships can resurface in our lives.
As our paths crossed again, we stopped to talk for a while, even if only briefly. Because she was on her way to bring food to her husband, and it happened that I'm taking a break from work at the moment, so I go outside to find food to eat. That's why, finally, I saw her again. Although it was only a little talk, it felt wonderful and comfortable to see her again and share a quick moment like we used to. Before she left she told me that she would message me, and in the following days, she did message me. She messaged me and reached out, and she invited me to his birthday celebration.
I decided to bring my sister along with me so I wouldn't feel lonely or out of place, especially since I was confident she'd have other companions with her to celebrate her birthday. Thankfully, she agreed to have me accompany me, which made me feel more at ease and thrilled about attending. As we made our way to the venue to eat together just us, me, her, her husband, and my sister. I literally felt like I was their child. They treated me with such warmth and comfort that I felt like their daughter in that moment. Later on I noticed she had also invited some of her current coworkers, so we waited for them near the entrance. I was grateful that I had brought my sister with me. Having her around provided me someone to talk to and helped me feel more relaxed. Her presence helped me not feel out of place and made the day much more pleasurable.
When we arrived at the venue, they immediately placed some orders so we wouldn't have to wait long for food. It was an intelligent and practical idea, especially given that everyone seemed hungry already and eager to share the food. When the food was served, we all settled in, and what impressed me the most was Ate's spouse, I mean, my coworker before spouse, because he was really friendly and attentive. He was continuously offering us food, me and my sister, and pushing us to try everything that was on the table and ensuring that our plates were never empty. His compassion and delightfulness made us feel very welcome and not left the group, they treated us as if we were a member of their family. It transformed what could have been a basic supper into something truly cozy and unforgettable.
Before we left, we decided to swing by Alberto's Pizza for some food to go. Ate generously gave us money to place the order, intending to treat everyone. It was a very lovely and considerate gesture. We waited for the pizza and brought it back to share among all of us; it seemed like a small treat after dinner. It was a beautiful way to close the party, with laughing, shared bites, and that warm sense of togetherness, making the day of the birthday of Ate Marites, my coworker before even more special also she is very happy to have my presence.
That's it for now Hivers! Thank you so much for taking your time to read my blog today series. I sincerely hope that you are enjoying my small story and it made your day also. Until next time, keep safe and inspired, and I'll see you on my next blog!
