Beautiful Ulua beach. There is a public beach parking area with showers and restrooms just up from this beach. The snorkeling is great around the rocks at the end of the beach. Lots of turtles!

I was checking out all the nearby hiking/walking trails nearby on my hiking app, and I saw it mention this beautiful walking trail along the Wailea coast. Wailea, on Maui, is known for its huge, fancy resorts, beautiful pools, golf courses, fine dining, and of course, some of the most beautiful beaches on Earth. So today's mission was to explore the coast, experience some beautiful tropical beaches, and maybe even take in some of the resort fun.

Well I have to say it was a successful mission. We played in the infinity pool and waterslides, and raced in the waves at beautiful Ulua beach. We saw sea turtles in the water, and even one hauled out a rocky cove. And we walked along one of the most picturesque walkways through Wailea. It is another destination to put on your bucket list.

My daughter enjoying some infinity pool time in Wailea, with the West Maui Mountains in the background. This is an amazing spot to spot whales out in the bay during the winter months.

Since covid times, vacation rentals and beach condos have become all the rage. People like being able to cook and feel a bit more homely.

A beautiful coastal walkway winds along the lava rock cliffs here in Wailea. You can see whales jumping out one direction, while people on vacation frolic in infinity pools at the fancy resorts the other way.

We made a day of it with some frolicking in the fancy pools ourselves.

I feel like this could be someone's phone screen saver. The beaches along the coast here in Wailea are world-class. This is a photo from the coastal walkway.
