Hey dear community, I hope you all had a week which brought some interesting experiences into your life as well as a pleasant start to the new weekend! In this article I would like to go into Greek mythology and hope you can learn new things.

To be seen here are some works of art which are supposed to represent the Greek god Zeus and in one his head is represented and in the other you can see him in the form of a swan and this work is based on the legend Leda and the Swan in which Zeus had transformed into this animal to be able to approach undisturbed to seduce her. The ability of being able to transform into different beings is probably one of the best known abilities and in another legend he transformed himself into a bull to kidnap the princess Europa and this property was not only useful for him to be able to seduce women, but also an expression of his power and as the father of the gods, he probably had the highest importance in Olympus. Zeus is also the child of Cronus who was also considered the leader of the Titans as well as Rhea and Zeus had supernatural abilities and could even control the weather with his Thunderbolts and as the creator of this work the god of blacksmithing and fire Hephaestus was known and this is probably one of the most powerful weapons he created which pretty much everyone was afraid of and Hephaestus created this supernatural weapon together with his helpers, the Cyclops.

Zeus also had a sceptre which was also made by Hephaestus and he was very fascinated by his work and he even produced an artificial woman made out of clay for Zeus which should also bear the name Pandora and sent her together with a box to the earth to punish Prometheus for stealing the fire in the Olympus and Zeus also had a shield which was also known under the name Aegis and was also created by the god of blacksmithing. There are different representations about him and sometimes he is also depicted while he sits on his throne and he always had an eagle as a companion and he was also associated with bees and was also sometimes called the bee king and Zeus was even fed by bees in his childhood. Zeus is considered a very intelligent god who, however, could not always master his tasks alone and therefore he regularly sought advice from other gods or let himself be supported with tasks and he is usually considered a very fair deity, but he is also known for his outbursts of anger as well as freed-tempered nature and when he just had a bad day, it was not unusual for him to cause bad weather or even let disasters break out. A great cult has arisen around him and in his honor people have built temples, statues or other works which are supposed to express his power and within Greek mythology, there are numerous legends in which he appears.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about greek mythology! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
