Smoggy Orange Sun

         Went out for a walk with the family the other day and my neighbor asked if I had seen the sun that day. Nah, it was not him referring to me working overnights. We headed over to a clearing.

         We saw an uncommon scenery of the setting sun. To be frank, a lot of it is most likely due to the smog and air pollution in the area. Usually, the sun is still intense before the actual sunset.

         The orange hue was definitely unique. You could have stared at it with little to no repercussion. Of course, I don't recommend that. I took the pictures with my iPhone XR. For the most part, they still don't do the scene justice. But hey, I did my best.

         Looking back, one of the good things that came with the pandemic was the feeling of a cleaner environment. The inversion wasn't too bad this year when most people weren't driving. Now, it seems smoggy every couple of weeks.

         It's almost the end of August and schools have already started. This summer hasn't been as fun as I wanted it to be. I hope next year is better.
