Salaš Katai is located in Vojvodina in a small town called Mali Iđoš.
The farm is owned by the Katai family, who in the last century maintained the farm, grew cereals and had their own bakery in Mali Iđoš. In addition to cereals, wheat and corn, they also had an animal farm.
The heirs of the Katai family turned the farm into an educational center 20 years ago, which is visited all year round. Art colonies, a colony of old crafts, a colony of handicrafts are held there.
At that time, a facility was built on the farm that accommodated up to 60 children who come to classes in nature.
The farm is divided into several parts. 1st part where there is a farm with animals and there children have the opportunity to ride donkeys and horses, as well as to ride in an old horse-drawn cart.

In the other part of the farm there is an area for children to play. Seesaws, zipline, grass field, wooden obstacles.
There is also an old dugout where the children entered with a little fear, but they quickly relaxed, listening to the guide's story.

The children were also provided with lunch, and for a snack they had hot strudel with poppy seeds and walnuts.

After numerous activities on the farm itself, we headed towards the Katai family's house and bakery. Both the house and the bakery have been turned into a museum. They are located in the center of the town and are on a large area, where there is also a lake.
First you can see the house museum

Everything remained authentic because the heirs did not want to change anything.

After the tour of the house, we went to the Museum of Bread.
The Katai family was famous for its baking trade, so people from the surrounding areas came to buy their pastries and bread. The bakery was run by two brothers. As their business developed, they started buying the surrounding properties, so they bought 3 houses that are now museums, and in addition they also bought a large farm which they named Salaš Katai. The family trade has lasted for about 100 years, and now they are exclusively engaged in catering and tourism.
Let's go see what the bakery looked like.

We walked, played, enjoyed food and clean air, and you can see how much the children had a good time by their faces when we left for Belgrade.
