Recently, I made my first governance vote directly through xPortal, and the experience was seamless that it felt almost like participating in a digital democracy. No complex setups, no confusing processes, it was just easy to use and direct participation in shaping the future of the MultiversX ecosystem. I'll also guide you on how you can make your first governance vote on MultiversX through the xPortal App.

DAO GOVERNANCE ON MULTIVERSX

DAO governance (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a form community driven decision making system which enables EGLD holders or stakers to make positive impact on MultiversX either through creating a proposal or voting. Instead of relying on centralized authorities, every EGLD holder has a voice. Through xPortal, that voice is amplified by making it easy for users to view proposals, understand their impact, and cast votes that influence real outcomes across the MultiversX network.

What makes this special isn’t just the technology behind the scene but it’s much more about the empowerment it offers. For the first time, governance feels accessible to everyone, not just developers or insiders. HOW TO TAKE PART IN DAO GOVERNANCE ON MULTIVERSX THROUGH XPORTAL APP

STEP 1

The first important step is to own some portion of the MultiversX token known as EGLD. You can get EGLD on supported centralized and decentralized exchanges which must be deposited on your xPortal.

You might also earn yourself some free NFT rewards, EGLD tokens and XPs while you transact and take part in tasks as seen in the below image. Anyways, that's just by the way 🤤.

STEP 2

The next step is to stake your EGLD tokens by clicking on the earn button as seen in the below image

After clicking on the earn button, you will be redirected to list of available trusted validators. As you can see there are lot of trusted validators with different APR or staking reward (ROI).

You also have the option to use the search button to search for your favorite validator as seen in the above image.

In this case I'm selecting Luganodes because I've been a fan of Luganodes since day one due to their credibility.

Confirm your selected validator by clicking on the "continue button" as seen in the above image.

Enter the amount of EGLD tokens you intend to stake and confirm the transaction by authorizing the transaction either with your fingerprint or password as seen in the below image.

As you can see in the below image, i already have my EGLD tokens staked successfully!

STEP 3 (FINAL STEP)

The next step is to now take part in MultiversX Governance using the xPortal dApp browser section by clicking on the "MultiversX Governance" section as seen in the below image

The next step is to check out for available (active) proposals that suits your interest and then you click on the "Go to vote" button if you wish to support the proposal as seen in the below image.

Once this is done, you'll be redirected to the voting section which enable you participate in the vote. As you can see, the number of users who voted in support of the proposal can also be seen on the voting page as seen in the below image. You can now click on the "Vote on Proposal" button to continue your governance process.

You can now click on the "Cast Vote" button to vote for your desired proposal. Also you have options to abstain and you also have the power to vote against the proposal as you can see in the below image.

And finally your vote gets accepted by the system easily without stress just exactly as you can see in the below image
