Guide How to Create a Self-Introduction Post - #Newcomer-Task1
1 comment

Hello Hive friends, wherever you are, have a great day.
Our search for posts tagged #introduceyourself has led us to several invalid self-introduction posts. For example, users fail to verify themselves by holding a piece of paper with their username handwritten on it.
This could indicate data/photo misuse by a third party who intends to operate multiple accounts/farm accounts. While we recognize that KYC is not mandatory on the Hive platform, valid user verification is crucial to prevent misuse such as multiple accounts and account farming. This will ensure our platform is more transparent, fair, and honest.
Of course, there are exceptions to this rule for some countries that have different regulations regarding personal data, facial expressions, and other matters. These exceptions also apply to investors who have brought their funds and feedback to Hive.
Based on the above, this post will provide guidance on how to create a self-introduction post. In this community, a self-introduction is the first step for new users to join Hive.
Moreover, those joining are newbies/plankton. Introducing yourself is part of Task 1, which must be completed to obtain valid verification.
We call this #NewComer-Task1. This task requires every new user in the newbie/plankton category, and users who do not fall into other exceptions, to create a self-introduction post first.
The self-introduction post should consist of the following points:
Personal Information: This can include your name, country of origin, age, and occupation.
Idea: This explains your reasons and motivations for joining the Hive platform.
Referral: Explain where you got your information about Hive. If another user invited you to Hive, include their username.
If you were invited by another user who has already joined Hive, explain what motivated you to join.
Explain your goals, what you will do, and what goals you hope to achieve in the future at Hive.
Post all reviews honestly and include a selfie holding a handwritten piece of paper.
On the paper, you must include at least: your username, the date you joined Hive, and your country of origin.
Post on the Newcomers Community.
Post with the title "Introducing Myself at Hive - #NewComer-Task1" (you can add any other title you want...)
Use the tags #introduceyourself #newcomer-task1 and tag your country (e.g., #venezuela).
Below is an example of a photo with handwritten paper:

By following the instructions above, you have reached the valid verification stage and are ready to take on the next task up to pro-member level.
This concludes the guide to creating a self-introduction post. We hope this is helpful.
