Always Sad to Say Goodbye to a Friend

After a surprise short visit, our dear friend Michel headed back home. It was great having her since Saturday. It was my wife's birthday and she was feeling lonely. So, her visit was a godsend.

Friends have a magical way to support each other and change moods for the better. I know they would have liked to spend more time together and go places around the city, but we are on a tight budget now and our friend has family to go back too.
Actually, one of her children called her to tell her that their internet went down, as evidence that their lives fall apart when she is away, and therefore she had to go back immediately 🤭.

The bus line she bought her bus ticket from leaves from a distant terminal, so we had to leave two hours in advance just in case.

The view is always great on a sunny day.

This spectacle never ceases to amaze me.

People like us, coming from small towns, can't understand how this chaotic urban lego managed to spread over the years until it became (according to some sources) the largest barrio in Latín America!

We arrived early and accompanied her throughout the process

The terminal was almost empty, as it is usually the case in off season.

Even though it was clean, there is something about this place that makes me feel uncomfortable. Most of the business stands are closed, there is little light and the whole facility lacks the minimum aesthetic elements for a place like this.

Services are always an issues, which is unexplainable considering that this is the most important bus terminal in the capital of our country.

In any case, we had about two hours to chat until our friend's bus leave.

We exchanged hugs, shed some tears and headed back. My wife felt a bit sad, but at least she was able to enjoy her friend for a few days.
