Magandang buhay

It looks like the typhoon elsewhere is affecting our skies, and as yesterday, it is gloomy in DD. It is breezy too, which is making the air a bit colder. It's okay, better than a wet day :)

Anyway, I was glued to the Netflix series Tastefully Yours in the last two days, [no] thanks to the rain for making us stay indoors more often than we'd like. Some of the film's original soundtrack stuck in my mind; they kept playing even while I was close to dozing off, lol! And because of that, I'm sharing a few of them as my 3 tunes, albeit on a Thursday (I missed doing it on Tuesday).

Here's the first one, which is by far my favorite amongst the set of songs:

Paints

This single by Jihae Kimm (which she co-wrote with 1of1) is captivating and memorable. I'm quite sure it takes anyone back to his/her childhood days, if not, it makes them imagine blue skies and such. I think the song complemented the show's storyline so well.

The artist's soft voice is nice and soothing to the eardrums. It was as if it were a young girl singing playfully. And the lyrics are relatable too.

When I was young, I only knew
How to paint my sky in blue and white
Now that I'm grown, I've learned that
There can be the days of the storm and cloudy nights

So why don't we paint our lives with all the colors that we have?
'Cause we ain't got much time to share the pain and all the love
So hang in there, you will see greater things in the sky

Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah

When we go top of the hill
To see the sun sets in the darkness
You will learn so many colors
You would not have known otherwise

And the second tune from the series:

You Are The One

A beautiful song by Heize (Jang Da-hye), a multi-awarded rapper, soulful, and Hip-Hop K-pop singer who gained a name after appearing in the reality TV show Unpretty Rapstar in 2014. This is a relaxing track that is also friendly to the ears.

And the last one (but not the least) for the day:

Dear Wind

While a little too short, this track by Kwon A Young brings a joyful vibe that is quite danceable. The music reminded me of some old Mexican movie soundtracks, although I couldn't name them exactly.😅

And there ends my three T's for the day. Cheers! And yes, Happy Independence Day to my fellow Filipinos around the globe!
