Cornealus is one of my all-time favorite cards

*Obviously the artwork drew me in first, but using this card during the game was a no-brainer in almost all formats. Even low mana games could use this guy. He was substantially over-powered.
At the time. The eyeball was a 1man operation, everything else was just noise.
He can heal - and reflect all types of damage....
Sometimes, you could simply win the game by getting to the exhaustion rounds where automatic damage was being dealt - cornealus can heal 4 health per round and reflect whatever attack. Add in a tank healer behind and he just can not die.
It was an epic card during an epic time in the game.

This guy debuted at $10 and he went as high as $200 during the rally.

And today he is valued at......

$4

Honestly, it makes me sad to see the prices for all these older legendary cards.
It brings back some nostalgia from back in the day when i used to play the game religiously and I would have been ecstatic to get another cornealus for $4.

Or a Kron the Undying for $8
Or a Phantom of the Abyss for $2!! wtf.

But, that still doesn't change the reality that even at these prices...
I am still not interested in owning the cards.
Nostalgia is all that is left when looking at the values -
remembering the good 'ol days
