A Touch of Home

Hello, my dear hivers!
Today, I’ll be sharing with you all the continuation of my previous blog where we had lunch. As we hung around with my cousins, my dad asked whether we were going home already. We answered YES, but honestly that was far from truth because we intended to enjoy the hangout with the kids.
My siblings and I headed outside first while our parents followed. So I now noticed that my mom did not accompany us because she opted to stay within the house to prepare cook and help prepare for later afternoon since we're going to be back.
Hours went by about 6:00 PM, so we went back to my uncle's house just in time for the sunset.
Before entering my uncle's house, however, I did stop for a bit to appreciate the golden rays shining through the small gaps in the clouds, hanging low outside. My sister spotted it first. To begin with, my assumptions were that there wouldn't be any sunset at all because it rained a bit in the morning.
Before entering the house, one of our relatives welcomed me. She’s older and has kids. We’ve hung out before and we really get along especially when it comes to singing. After I did the traditional “bless” gesture, she said, “Oh, the singer is here!” That made me laugh, and my sister also chuckled.
There were someone (3 ladies) already sitting on the sofa when I came in, so I sat next to another cousin of mine, Natasha. She said, “So here you are!” and I replied, “Yeah, because you’re here too hahaha.” But minutes later, the two ladies left with others for dinner. So with the remaining songs, it was just Natasha singing. And minutes later, that’s when I had the karaoke, since my sister is shy when it comes to singing, especially during family gatherings.
Oh, and by the way, here’s the songbook.
A few minutes later, after about five songs, my mom called me for dinner. Such a hefty meal in the end, but now I am stuffed.
After some time, I kept on eating and, as always, was the last to finish. Then I went outside to hang with my uncles and auntie, also my sister came along.
While we were outside, people were still singing and even called my name, inviting me to sing again. I just said, “You go ahead first, ate. I’ll take a break for now.”
Minutes later, the beer arrived, and as they were drinking, they stood up like they were at a disco. I said to my sister, “They’d probably enjoy this moment even more if there were disco lights inside, right?” and she said, “Exactly.” Then, later on, they just sat back down again.
As I was sitting and busy on my phone, my little cousin came over and handed me a hairclip. I wanted to hug her but dared not lest she might not want it. So, I said, thank you. Why are you giving this to me? And she responded with a soft voice "That's looks good to you". So, I put it on and I loved it.
A few minutes later, my sister started getting ready to leave home, and I decided to join her.
And that is all for today's blog, my dear hivers! Thank you for reading!
