After-Duty Cravings

Hello, my dear Hivers!

For today’s blog, I’ll be sharing with you a fun and simple moment I shared with my co-interns. It all started after lunch when Jared, one of my fellow interns, suddenly asked me if I wanted to eat pizza. I replied, “Oh wow, yes! It’s been a while since I last had pizza.” Then I suggested, “Why don’t we eat at Dhodz Pizza?”, a place I’ve actually already featured in one of my previous blogs here.

At first, Jared wasn’t too sure about my suggestion. But then Verjane jumped in and said that the pizza at Dhodz is really good, which helped convince everyone. Sometimes all it takes is one solid recommendation to sway the group, right?

Later that afternoon when we fulfilled our duties, we all agreed to go and started looking for a three-wheeler to take us to place. The roads were slightly traffic at that time, as many students and workers were already going home, but it was manageable. Such traffic is expected during crowded hours, anyway.

A few minutes later, we finally arrived at Dhodz Pizza, and to our surprise, we were the only customers there when we walked in! So I took the chance to sit down first, enjoy the breeze, and moved closer to the electric fan to cool off a bit.

While waiting, my co-interns slowly walked toward the mirror on the wall. I followed them and joked, “Let’s take mirror shots!” They agreed, and we all gathered in front of the mirror. It was such a cute moment because they actually came closer to taking pictures and we laughed and enjoyed our quick photo session. It is always in small spontaneous moments that make a memory more special.

After mirror pictures, we went back to our table to check separate pizza flavors. We took our time looking in the menu, chatting, and laughing at which ones to order. Eventually, we agreed to some tastes and put our money together so that we could share.

Oh and they also had drinks available, which was nice!

Minutes later, our orders came. I managed to take an ideal picture of pizza first. But for the other, the photo became slightly blurred, I only saw it later! I was in a crowd to take a picture because my co-interns was already hungry and ready to eat. So yes, forgive me for a blurred shot this time, my dear hivers. I hope you understand.
