Late Night Fun

Hello my dear Hivers!
So this is basically Part 3 of my previous blog.
In Part 2, I mentioned that we ate together using banana leaves as our plates, placing all the food on it before eating. Indeed, we finished all the rice and even all our viands. Bangus (milkfish) really tastes so good, especially when grilled, and even better when paired with a super delicious sauce. We were also lucky because just before we finished eating, Angelie’s parents handed us big bottles of Pepsi and Sprite. We were so thankful because we hadn’t bought any soft drinks ourselves—we were trying to budget our money.
Minutes later, we were all done eating, except for Johan and Lesly, so they were the last ones to finish.
After a few more minutes, Johan and Lesly finished eating, and then we started cleaning the table. After that, I swept the floor so everything would be neat and clean.
Once we finished cleaning the area where we had eaten, we took a few photos.
Then, Angelie handed Lavester a microphone so we could do some karaoke singing. So, that’s what they did, they started singing. I’m not really into karaoke, but since we didn’t want anyone to feel left out, Keziah suggested that we pass the microphone around. After one person sings a few lines, the mic would be passed to the next. Considering the fact that I didn’t really have a choice, I just agreed and went with the flow.
While we were singing, Angelie told me the sky looked so beautiful. At that moment, I was retouching my makeup, so I told her, “I’ll go look outside later, Angelie, after this.” And when I finally finished, I went outside and even took a picture of the sky. It really was beautiful. Every time I see a sunset, I instantly feel safe and calm. The soft colors like yellow and orange, really help me feel relaxed and quiet inside.
After a little while, I went back inside after spending a moment reflecting outdoors.
While we were inside singing, Angelie’s mom came over again, this time bringing GSM (alcohol) and some ice. Since it was already there, we simply accepted it and thanked her, even though I honestly didn't expect that. I really felt welcomed in their home. Her whole family was very warm and welcoming.
After a few hours, we decided it was time to go home. Justin went out to find a tricycle so we’d have a ride going to Bogo proper.
That’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you for reading!
