A simple celebration for my father’s birthday.

Hi there everyone It's me Rhea again, and today I will be sharing another blog of mine about how we made my father’s birthday more special.

This happened on September 9 2025, it was the birthday of my father, he always say he just wanted to spend his birthday without having a big party and he just wanted us to have a simple lunch with us. And so me and my mother then planned and decided to cook my father’s favorite foods.

I also helped my mother with slicing the meats and the vegetables in order for her to make the foods easily and I sliced some onions, garlic, and also ginger.

While I was slicing the ingredients my mother is also busy cooking pansit or noodle dish.

I was so busy preparing the dishes that my parents like. We also cooked paklay, paklay is a famous dish here in Cebu it is made with different parts of pork, I swear if it was cooked right it really tastes good.

Here’s the reason why I was so busy. I was preparing for the ingredients for the paklay dish.

After preparing for the ingredients I also watched my mother cooking the pansit, I swear the smell was so good I could not stop thinking about the food hehe lol.

And since I am done preparing I then gave myself a rest and then spend my rest time by crocheting.

After an hour, the foods are finally ready. We then blessed our foods and finally dig in, I am so grateful for having a family that appreciates small celebrations.

Later that night my 7 years old cousin gave my father a hand written letter. It is so cute and my father’s reaction was so priceless. He even told us that he appreciates for celebrating his birthday with us.

By the way I also told my boyfriend to celebrate with us because we treat him as part of our family also. We also cooked fries that time, my boyfriend also helped me cook.

While I am busy cooking he is also busy flavoring the fries with bbq flavor.

I am so happy that we spend time together. Not just by eating together but also having a great conversation with them.
