A record-breaking evening
Last weekend was held La Velada del Año or La Velada Quinta Edición (also known as La Velada de Ibai), an event that has become a phenomenon. This fifth edition has managed to break a world record on twitch, as it has become the most watched broadcast on twitch. Some will say they used bots, and maybe they did, but the amount of viewers surprised me. At one point I saw that the viewer count was nine million people. Brutal.
Ibai is making a killing. He and several streamers have said that the CEO of twitch was at the event and he was surprised as well. He could not believe the number of viewers and put technicians and engineers under him to investigate if the figure was real.
I started to follow Ibai's event from the 2nd edition. The first edition I didn't pay attention to it and it didn't interest me much. It was some time later, when the second edition was announced when I started to be more attentive. Boxing is a sport that I have never liked. I'm not a fan of boxers. I prefer mixed martial arts, but the fact that it's an event where famous streamers play boxers and beat the crap out of each other, I find it entertaining, plus it's all for show. I think it's more fun to follow famous streamers during the months of preparation than the fight itself on the day of the event.
El pasado fin de semana se celebró La Velada del Año o La Velada Quinta Edición (también conocida como La Velada de Ibai) un evento que se ha convertido en todo un fenómeno. Esta quinta edición ha conseguido batir un récord mundial en twitch, ya que se ha convertido en la retransmisión más vista en twitch. Algunos dirán que utilizaron bots, y puede que sí, pero la cantidad de espectadores me sorprendió. En un momento dado vi que el recuento de espectadores era de nueve millones de personas. Una brutalidad.
Ibai se está forrando. Él y varios streamers han dicho que el CEO de twitch estuvo en el evento y también se sorprendió. No se podía creer el número de espectadores y puso a los técnicos e ingenieros a sus órdenes a investigar si la cifra era real.
Empecé a seguir el evento de Ibai a partir de la 2ª edición. La primera edición no le presté atención y no me interesó mucho. Fue tiempo después, cuando se anunció la segunda edición cuando empecé a estar más atento. El boxeo es un deporte que nunca me ha gustado. No soy fan de los boxeadores. Prefiero las artes marciales mixtas, pero el hecho de que sea un evento en el que streamers famosos hacen de boxeadores y se dan de hostias, me parece entretenido, además de que todo es por espectáculo. Creo que es más divertido seguir a streamers famosos durante los meses de preparación que el mismo combate el día del evento.
I don't watch the whole program. I leave the evening on in the background on the TV or on the PC and I start watching other things, until they present an artist that interests me or the fight I want to see. When it's a shitty reggaetonero or one that only says bad or denigrating phrases and doesn't sing shit, I don't watch them and even turn down the volume. Yes, this whole new generation loves those shitty artists, there comes out my age and I overlook them.
In this evening of five I was only interested in watching three fights. The first was between Alana and Arigeli. Mexico vs. Spain. Alana I think this is the third time she has participated in an evening. Last year she did it in a double fight. There is a lot of hate towards this streamer, but she was the one I saw in better physical condition and I like her. I don't follow her and don't watch her streams, but she is one of those who takes her training seriously. The fight wasn't as good as I expected, but the other girl held her own and had some good punches, I think if they meet again and she prepares more, she could beat her in a future fight. The winner was Alana.
The second fight I was interested in was between Rorro and Abby. From the beginning, I saw a lot of difference between the two, which was a big advantage for Abby. Rorro became very famous about a year ago, because she started posting videos preparing food for her husband Pablo. Spain is full of crazed extreme progressive feminists and she got a lot of hate from those crazies. Abby was one of the ones who also threw shit at her and that's why the uproar of this fight. I was rooting for Rorro, but unfortunately she couldn't and watching the fight several times, Abby actually won. The booing when Abby was announced as the winner was beastly. By the way, the mother of this chic has Venezuelan roots, she came out with the flags of Spain and Venezuela and her shorts had both flags embroidered on them, something that seems to me a ploy to seek sympathy from a sector of the Hispanic American public, so that only her supporters would defend her.
No veo todo el programa. Dejo la velada encendida de fondo en la tele o en el PC y me pongo a ver otras cosas, hasta que presentan un artista que me interesa o la pelea que quiero ver. Cuando es un reggaetonero de mierda o que solo dice frases malas o denigrantes y no canta una mierda, no los veo y hasta les bajo el volumen. Sí, a toda esta nueva generación le encantan esos artistas de mierda, alli sale a relucir mi edad y los paso por alto.
En esta velada de cinco sólo me interesaba ver tres combates. La primera fue entre Alana y Arigeli. México contra España. Alana creo que es la tercera vez que participa en una velada. El año pasado lo hizo en una pelea doble. Hay mucho odio hacia esta streamer, pero fue a la que vi en mejores condiciones físicas y me gusta. No la sigo y no veo sus streams, pero es de las que se toma en serio su entrenamiento. La pelea no fue tan buena como esperaba, pero la otra chica aguantó y tuvo buenos golpes, creo que si se vuelven a ver las caras y se prepara más, podría ganarle en una futura pelea. La ganadora fue Alana.
El segundo combate que me interesaba era entre Rorro y Abby. Desde el principio, vi mucha diferencia entre las dos, lo que era una gran ventaja para Abby. Rorro se hizo muy famosa hace un año, porque empezó a publicar vídeos preparando comida para su marido Pablo. España está llena de feministas progresistas extremas enloquecidas y ella recibió mucho odio de esos locos. Abby fue una de las que también le tiró mierda y por eso el revuelo de esta pelea. Yo animaba a Rorro, pero desgraciadamente no pudo y viendo el combate varias veces, Abby en realidad ganó. Los abucheos cuando Abby fue anunciada como ganadora fueron bestiales. Por cierto, la madre de esta chic tiene raíces venezolanas, salió con las banderas de España y Venezuela y sus pantalones cortos tenían bordadas ambas banderas, algo que me parece una estratagema para buscar la simpatía de un sector del público hispanoamericano, para que sólo la defendieran sus seguidores.
The third fight I wanted to watch was the last one. The main event. The very famous Spaniard TheGrefg against the Colombian Westcol. Apparently, the Colombian is the star streamer of the moment. I met him this year at La Velada, but I don't follow him either. That Westcol obviously likes to drink alcohol, do drugs, and have sex like crazy. I think he's only in his twenties and already has a ton of money. He's been through a lot of financial hardship, and that's why he wants to enjoy the crazy life. I get it; if I had become a millionaire at 20, I wouldn't be alive anymore.
TheGref hit him really hard. From the third round on, the fight had to be stopped. Westcol was taking a lot of hits. He was even dizzy and staggering. TheGref was well prepared. Despite everything, I like that Westcol. He probably went to a party to celebrate the loss when it was over. This guy clearly celebrates everything.
I wasn't interested in the other fights at all, so I only watched them when the results were announced. Of the musical shows, I saw the opening and Aitana's performance. I missed another one I wanted to see because I had a visitor at home and had to watch them. Now I'm looking forward to the sixth edition next year. With the numbers Ibai achieved, Tiwcht opens his legs for him to do whatever he wants.

La tercera pelea que quería ver era la última. El evento principal. El famosísimo español TheGrefg contra el colombiano Westcol. Al parecer, el colombiano es el streamer estrella del momento. Lo conocí este año en La Velada, pero tampoco lo sigo. A ese Westcol obviamente le gusta beber alcohol, drogarse y tener sexo como un demonio. Creo que solo tiene veintitantos años y ya tiene un montón de dinero. Ha pasado por muchas dificultades económicas, y por eso quiere disfrutar de la vida alocada. Lo entiendo; si me hubiera hecho millonario a los 20, ya no estaría vivo.
TheGref le dio durisimo. A partir del tercer asalto, fue necesario detener la pelea. Westcol estaba recibiendo muchos golpes. Incluso estaba mareado y se tambaleaba. TheGref estaba bien preparado. A pesar de todo, me cae bien ese Westcol. Probablemente fue a una fiesta a celebrar la derrota cuando terminó. Este tipo se nota que lo celebra todo.
No me interesaron para nada las demás peleas, así que solo las vi cuando anunciaron los resultados. De lso shows musicales, vi la inauguración y la presentacion de Aitana. Me perdí otra que quería ver porque tenia visita casa y tuve qu eatenderlos. Ahora espero la sexta edición del año que viene. Con esos números que Ibai lo logró, Tiwcht le abre las piernas para hacer lo que quiera.
