Me with cake! 🎂

It has been a while since I posted in this community! 😊 In this blog, I want to show my step-by-step process of how I drew my mascot, or should I say myself? 😅 The dinosaur onesie came from "saur" of Jijisaur, so, I thought it would be fitting for the character to have a fun, pink, onesie. 😁

Art Process

The pose is me holding a strawberry cake with no. 2 on top and a sparkler on the other hand. IDK, but strawberry cake is popular when having a birthday. Well, it's my 2nd birthday here on Hive and I am happy to still be active. 😅

Next, I applied the base colors. Since strawberry cake is also pink, I used a darker shade to keep them apart. Putting an orange background is a nice complement to the pink shades. I manually drew the strawberries and icing, as well as the number 2 on top.

I then incorporate the lighting on the clothing, hair, eyes, and cake. I added more details to the cake like the shadows, seeds on the strawberries, and icing stripes.

Final Art

Making the confetti and garlands made the art more festive! 🥳 The sparklers added some glow too. I like how the combination of colors for the background turned out. 🥳
