Hello Everyone
Welcome to my blog.

The two movies i watched of recent prompted me to write about this two amazing Nigerian actress and filmmaker "Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele".
Both of them are amazing actress and also filmmakers who has lots of things in common.

It is said that Funke Akindele is 48 years old while Toyin Abraham is 43 years old, Funke Akindele look younger than Toyin Abraham though.
Both of them are born comedians, as actresses they do well to entertain someone with laughs which makes people to love them.

When it comes to movies directed and produced by these two amazing women, they always go for the best actors and actresses.
Normally, in most movies, you can't see a known actor or actress making an appearance in the movie once or twice.
He/she has to be the main character and would be seen many times in different scenes but this is not applicable in movies produced and directed by Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
They handpick the best actors and actresses, they even place them in a role that is related to their real life.
Example Hilda Baci acting as a guess chef in the movie or the tiktok influencer Pella acting the role of a seen tiktoker.
A unique thing about Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham is they are the main character in the movie with their hilarious nature 🥰 that you will just relax and enjoy the movie.

I watched "Everybody loves Jenifa" of recent and I was just so pleased with the movie.
The movie was worth the hype indeed, and Funke Akindele really did great with the movie.

I love how the comedy blended well, how colorful and amazing the movie is, how lessons were learnt and how real life occurrence were smoothly added, coupled with the happy ending like a real ending, every area from the beginning was concluded well, not just making someone feel that it didn't end well or something is missing somewhere.
I couldn't say the same thing for Toyin Abraham's movie "Alakada : Bad and Boujee".
You know that feeling you get when watching a movie and you will be like "Do they think we the viewers are mad?, like we don't have sense?".
That's how I felt at some point when I was watching the movie.
Yes, I did a lot of "What is this?"
"Like this can't happen?" or "Is this scene meant for children?" because why would you want to make a fool of something cool you have been acting.

Example of such scenes is when they went on a date with a known chef.
They prepared everything that would smooth their lies but failed at just the basics of when she said she studied abroad but couldn't mention the school location right.
Like, that was just a basic question nah
They haven't even gotten into a deep conversation.
This is not the first movie that went to that direction of "Do you think the viewers are mad?" for me.
Maybe you should watch the two movies and others and tell me what you think.
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog 🥰
Do enjoy the rest of your day.
