My Life In Color on Glittering Gold and Brilliant Yellow Sunday (10/9/22) | HIGHLIGHTING THE COLOR FOR THE DAY

My idea for My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day evolved from a former challenge based on colors assigned to each day that was the concept of a former Hive member. I decided to create my own version. It's not a challenge; just sharing many of my personal photos and digital drawing images in my collection.

With that said, today is Saturday. That means I'll be sharing gold and brilliant Yellow color images. My choice of colors are found in my color chart below in which I assigned a different day of the week with a particular color or color blend.

I've read numerous times how colors affect our lives and how we navigate toward certain hues due to perception. This has been done for thousands of years. Different societies adapt certain colors for a variety of reasons.

According to colorpsychology.org, yellow is a primary color. It sits between orange and green on the color wheel. Being associated with the sun, it stands for optimism, joy, enlightenment. On the other hand, it can also symbolize duplicity, cowardice, and betrayal. The two colors that relate to yellow are yellow-green and orange. I can why the two are frequently paired to create a fiery image. ¹

The site also tells us that the color shade gold is the shade of achievement, accomplishment and triumph. Connected with wealth and success, extravagance and quality, esteem and advancement, worth and polish, the brain research of the shading gold infers opulence, material riches and indulgence. ¹

We often say that a person is as "good as gold" or "has the golden touch". What we really mean to say is that the person is associated with wealth, success and makes good choices in life.

When I think about colors in my own surroundings, I think of the brightness of yellow and the subdued elegance of gold. I don't utilize yellow in my own personal decoration. However, in art, have these color are dark, bold and dynamic.

For this particular art, I utilized the prompt: "beautiful yellow sparse trees in the dawn."
