As I was watching the new 'Below Deck' series of the Australian version (awesome guilty pleasure that is guys!) there was something in one of these episodes that stood out to me and I had some internal smiles about.
A guest was a successful life coach specialized in changing people and had this youtube channel about it. Also apart from his streaming every day while being on the boat on vacay, you could also see this guys brabbeling about to his friends about their mindsets and how superior your should be in life.....and that those friends were totally zoning out on his talk...
They didn't care, they weren't listening and they didn't like the personality who he was online.

This is a baby swine of a friend of mine, which is an awesome animal who can sit on command better than my dog and this has nothing to do with this story
In the same week I was listening to this podcast which also had the subject something about 'how do you online mute your friends because you don't like their internet personality, without your friends noticing and ruining your friendship'. You are not a fan of the motivational talk of them, and not a fan of them snapping pictures every day of nonsense while they try to make you feel it is something extremely significant.
Again the same topic. The internet personality doesn't reflect the person you know in 'normal life' and you actually want to get rid of their spamming and want to get back to normal stuff. But you are also afraid on that they can see that you muted or deleted them, and that is why you don't do it...On the other hand..you get annoyed by them on the daily
So what is wise on that?

Yupppppp..
I have them as well in there. Friends who on the daily post about their marathon training schedules, or how much kg they lifted in the gym. It is always interesting how people who are doing team sports never do this, only the ones who train solistic. Is it the confirmation that they are looking for? I'm not sure.
I also have a friend who is a life coach in profession and also has a professional account for that. But every time the professional posts get reposted on the personal account and then again the personal account becomes the life coach account again. Super annoying. Are you still following?
And the thing is...I don't want to see the picture perfect stories from everyone because we all know life ain't all like that.
We want the good, the bad and the ugly. We want the reality.
We want the bad habits, the grumpy mornings and kids that shit themselves. We want the people who just are doing their job and not making their job their personality, and also don't always like doing that every day.
Because that is how it is. Don't feel more superior because you try to pose and position yourself better on an accoun.
Rant a little man!
