Heading over to the darkside

The war has been there for years already, either you are an Apple love has have everything I-devices (Icloud, Iphone, Macbook) or you are an Android or google person.
It always felt like there was no in between and you was either one of the camps. Also, these kinds of gadgets also didn't combine at all with each other. The common line in this all always was, Apple stuff is good but it feels totally overpriced and you have to be a wizz kid to use all of this (even though apple people claim this is not the case at all and it is so user friendly). I guess you can already guess in what camp I am always in.
Over the years this has only partially changed as it feels. Stuff still doesn't mingle together in well, but at least it is starting to get easier.
Now a while back I was already writing
Since that time I have been eyeballing already with what is on the market available and what I would want. Conclusion: I have no idea as I am a super common user in the daily business. A little bit of typing some stuff, some browsing, some videos, some work stuff but nothing very big in there. So not looking for anything special or heavy equipment.
It was kind of annoying though that the start up process of the computer sometimes took forever, and often the fan of the cooler sounded more like a lift off than a laptop. Also the fact that I wasn't able to use a second screen without an additional HDMI cable (which I don't always have one with me, I don't know about how that is for you) was starting to get very old.
So the deadline was October and the laptop was starting to crumble down.

There we go
After checking out some option which is truly the most annoying thing to do, because it is literally a jungle out there in the land of the computer free. Intell, HP, Dell, Lenovo, Chromepad, you name it...it is all there.
Ranging from $600 to more than $3000 bucks and still not having anything crazy it was easy to get caught up.
And then I considered for the first time ever... And what about a Macbook....... Crap, I said it and I now can't take it back anymore.
Apple was always too expensive to even consider. But at the moment the price of a Macbook Air is literally the same as any other Windows laptop, which is totally a first.
Considering my previous Lenovo served me for 8 decent years, the bar is high on that. But the shifting from one software to the other is just annoying.
And what about the controls while typing. Have you have thought on how much muscle memory is stored there? Heading over with your mousepad to the right upper corner to close something, is now the left upper corner.
The regular control-c control-v all of a sudden is command-c and command-v which was normally entirely done with left pinky commands.
The amount of typos that I have made during the process of writing is post is really something else. It is new. And new always sucks

But here we are....
But here we are headed over to a new brand and experimenting around. Not because I wanted to...but because this was literally the best option at the moment.
And the phone?? Nehhh, the phone remains the old brand, I am not ready to any more change being this boomer apparently.
