For me when thinking about sailing I think about nice clear skies and some friendly winds during chill sessions. I guess a lot of Dutchies will already consider this different because usually when they go sailing these windy conditions are often not with the nicest weather. These are the true sports, I just like good conditions.

That being said it is totally new to me to end up in the concept of rushing into harbours because the weather is changing for the worst. Especially after seeing these articles about a

with still people missing in there and also the storms in Mallorca from last week wreaking havoc I don't think these storms are something to take lightly when travelling by water.

So when these predictions are that a certain time conditions might change for the worst, I am the last person to question that while others are still hanging on the water.

Also the rumors about a 'Bora' passing by, which is storm with sudden heavy winds that is the message for me to just sit back and relax. Water is something different and something you need to respect a lot more I find. I remember these Boras from camping leaving the whole campsite in shambles so I guess that could also happen in a harbour. Better get everything set up in stable conditions to just have it all into safety.

I'll take my chances and just drink coffee all day and enjoy the views and listen to the sound of the rain. Thanks but no thanks.
