At last, the long-awaited day has come, my sign out! Finally, I did my sign out, B.Sc in Science Laboratory Technology from the prestigious Federal University of Lafia.

This moment carries so much weight because it is not just about writing on white shirts or taking colorful pictures, but it is about celebrating years of struggles, sacrifices, discipline, and God’s unfailing grace.

Looking back at the journey, I can boldly say it was not an easy ride. From my 100 level days, everything seemed new and overwhelming. With time, I adjusted, but challenges never stopped coming. The strike actions that extended our stay, the COVID-19 lockdown that forced us into uncertainties, and the financial struggles that made me wonder if I would continue, all these moments shaped me. Beyond academics, I had to balance leadership responsibilities as the class representative, serving my department faithfully, and also my role in fellowship activities. Sometimes the pressure felt like too much, but God gave me strength to carry on.

One of the toughest parts of my journey was my final year project. Searching for pawpaw fruits across Lafia metropolis for my bench work, spending long hours in the lab, and sometimes experiencing failed results taught me patience and resilience. Yet, I kept pushing because I knew that giving up was not an option. Today, standing at the finish line, all those struggles are now sweet memories and testimonies.

THIS IS ME AND MY NEIGHBOR'S LITTLE KID, WHO I LOVE TO PLAY WITH ALL THE TIME, I ALSO SIGNED FOR HER

The sign out day itself was colorful and filled with joy. Dressed in our white shirts, my colleagues and I went around with markers, signing and writing heartfelt messages for one another. Each signature carried love, laughter, and shared experiences from our years together. Taking pictures with friends, smiling widely, and laughing heartily, I felt the bond we had built as a family in SLT. We went through lectures, practicals, tests, and exams together, and today we celebrate together.

I cannot forget to appreciate my lecturers who contributed immensely to my academic growth. Their guidance, corrections, and encouragement shaped me into the graduate I am today. I also thank my family, especially my parents, for their endless prayers, financial support, and moral encouragement. Truly, without them, this achievement would not have been possible.

This sign out is a dream come true and a proof that perseverance always pays. The late nights of studying, the group assignments, the departmental stress, the exams, and the endless practicals, they all made sense when I saw my shirt filled with signatures and my heart filled with joy.

As I step out of FULafia with my B.Sc in Science Laboratory Technology, I know this is just the beginning of greater achievements. I carry with me the lessons learned, the friendships built, and the confidence that if I could overcome this journey, then no mountain is too high to climb.

Finally, I did my sign out, B.Sc, and the joy is indescribable!
