Running (Original Poetry)

I run,
you chase
obsessed
to get to the other end
only to discover
there’s no end in the first place.
Pretending
to live
stacking regrets
juggling shame, guilt,
and a bouquet of poems
led you down a path
where emptiness
screams louder than progress.
Up on the mountaintop
where fame and blame
dance a material tango
to capture your brain
resides the treasure trove
ready for you to absorb
when you let go
of your old and pathetic claim.
Don’t hold back!
I continue my journey
lost in a myriad of artificial flavors
suppressing the present
hoping to find comfort
in the wings of rose petals.
Past memories
drive my behavior
but then I meet nature
and I’m reminded
of my mathematical equation.
Spill over the divine.
Don’t be a stranger!
Oxygen floods my cells
the upgrade is smooth
just a few repairs
here and there.
The electromagnetic field expands,
the human avatar gasps:
Another one of those games …
without a beginning
nor an end.
